Florence Airport

Our recommendation is to fly to Florence (FLR). There are no direct flights from the U.S., so you will have a layover in Europe. We recommend layovers that are 1.5 hours+! The Florence airport is in the city center and easy to get a cab.

Rome Airport

One easy way to get to Florence is to take a direct flight to Rome (FCO) and then train to Florence via the fast train. You will take a train from the airport to Rome train station and then the speed train to Florence.

Hotel Calimala is where our welcome dinner on September 27 will be hosted. They have two buildings in the city center with modern style rooms. Transportation will likely be around this area. Hotel Calimala does not have a room block and recommends booking ASAP. The booking code will get you a discount off of both refundable and non-refundable rates. If you are sure of your stay, you can also book an early bird non-refundable rate on the website.

Gallery Hotel Art

Gallery Art Hotel has a room block for our wedding. Please follow the instructions below for booking. 1. Email lombardi@lungarnocollection.com with reference to our wedding block and the code "LanmanWedding" 2. The Gallery Art hotel will offer you the wedding rate for their rooms 3. Gallery Art Hotel will send guests all needed info and will require to confirm booking details. Guests will charge a 1-night deposit on August 26th 2024 for Gallery Hotel Art and Continentale. 50% deposit for Hotel Lungarno. We will send guests all needed info and will confirm booking details. They will receive a secure link to pay deposits a few days before the deadline. Room details: Euro 450 flat rate for single use or for double occupancy. In case of interest, they have availability of higher level of rooms. The first category is the Prestige room (superior): at the rate of Euro 470 flat rate for single and double occupancy Rates are per room, per night, inclusive of breakfast and service. To be added: 10% VAT and city tax of Euro 7 per person per day.

Fattoria di Maiano

This is a farm hotel located very close to our venue in Fiesole. This hotel is not in the city center and is about 15-20 minutes from the city by taxi. It is a charming, less fancy hotel that offers gorgeous views of Fiesole and Florence. We stayed here for a few days when we visited in 2023. This hotel is less expensive than the ones in the city center and you can walk to the wedding in under 5 minutes. However, please note, as of right now we will not have transportation to the city center for the welcome party. We’ll reconsider this if a large amount of people stay at the farm.

You can also book an airbnb in the city center. We recommend booking a place that is close to Hotel Calimala or Gallery Art Hotel for purposes of transportation.
