Bride
Rachel was born in Virginia and made her way to Florida in 2018 to work at Disney—a move that started as an adventure and quickly became a place where she found friendship, laughter, and a little bit of magic. She started dancing on her own at first, but soon discovered a community that felt like family. Through those connections, she met Jay in 2020, thanks to her friend Charlie, and the rest, as they say, is history. Rachel loves deeply, brings people together with humor and heart, and cherishes every messy, joyful, unforgettable moment with her chosen family. April 4th will be a celebration of all the people and experiences that have shaped her—and the life she’s building with Jay.
Groom
Jay was born and raised in Florida, and he’s been dancing since he was 18—a skill that comes in handy when keeping up with Rachel’s energy. He loves the outdoors, car projects, and spending time with his dog, but what he loves most is letting Rachel fill the house with complete chaos and loving her for it anyway. Jay knows Rachel is the planner, and he’s always happy to follow along—bringing steady support, laughter, and a whole lot of heart to every adventure they share.
Maid of Honor
Skitter came into my life in 2024 after moving to Florida from Michigan. One Wednesday night at the barn, we got to talking about a road trip to Miami, and I invited her along—she was instantly swallowed whole by our group and somehow felt like she’d always been there. Everyone loves Skitter (and honestly, how could you not?); her positivity, big heart, and genuine care for others make her an incredible friend. She shows up fully, supports fiercely, and brings so much joy wherever she goes.
Best Man
Bridesmaid
Kris and I met through dancing, but our friendship truly deepened when she moved in with me in 2024. From apartment life to house life (and everything in between), we’ve shared countless laughs, challenges, and unforgettable moments—like our spontaneous night at the wine room that somehow turned into one of the most fun memories ever. Kris loves big and loves hard, and she meets everything life throws her way with grace, strength, and unwavering support. I’m so grateful to have her standing by my side on this day.
Groomsman
Matron of Honor
Joscelyn—Joise, by my typo— came into my life through Kris. I knew her from the barn, but we truly became close when she started coming over for help with school, and (being the nerd I am) I happily intertwined myself into her life. Joise is the kind of friend who makes me stand up for myself—and jokingly hits me when I’m too hard on myself. After broken bones, broken wine glasses, and a few broken hearts, it feels like I’ve known her for many lifetimes, and I’m so grateful she’s standing beside me in this one.
Flower Child
Kinzi, our adult little flower child, came into my life through Joscelyn when she moved in with Kris and me. Between Kinzi and her friend Ariel—whom the animal distribution system somehow always manages to find—our home has filled with more love, life, and creatures than we ever expected. As the baby of the group, Kinzi keeps us young in the best ways, bringing lightness and laughter wherever she goes. She’s thoughtful, responsible, and wise beyond her years, and I’m so grateful for the joy and energy she brings into our lives.
