Jim and Rachel met on New Year's Eve, under unique circumstances. Rachel was meant to be getting to know a mutual friend of her and Jim's, and Jim was meant to be his friend's wingman. That was, until the moment Jim saw her and realized he was about to be the world’s worst wingman. He knew she was meant to be with him, and NOT his friend ;) After that night, the rest as they say, is history.
We got engaged on a beautiful, sunny day in March, overlooking the Hudson River and the NewYork City skyline. After walking along the water, hand in hand, we sat on a bench looking towards the City. Jim gave Rachel what she thought was a birthday present, a handmade scrapbook chronicling their relationship. By the time she got to the end of the book, the last page was empty, signaling the last part of the book was meant to be filled out with a picture of the proposal. Jim got down on one knee, stared into Rachel's eyes and asked her to marry him. Lucky for him, she said yes ;) The last page of the scrapbook was complete. And just like that, we were engaged.
