There are two ways to get onto Jekyll Island: fly into Jacksonville International Airport and travel an hour-ish north via rental vehicle/shareride/carpool or drive the entire way from your own starting point onto the island.
Either way, use a Maps app to navigate to your lodging accommodations. You'll know you are getting close to the island when you get onto Highway 17 and see signs for Brunswick. Turn east onto State Route 520 (there will be a big sign for Jekyll Island); once on the state route ("The Causeway") continue for another 20-ish minutes (crossing over marshland) before finally crossing the bridge onto the island. You'll need to pay $6-8 (cash or card) at the toll that sits roughly 2/3rds of the way along the Causeway.
As far as lodging, there are several different options from the many brands of hotels on the island and even houses for rent through Jekyll Realty. We recommend the Jekyll Island Club Hotel (which is right next to the venue) but the Westin is also cool.
