Things To Do

Jekyll Island has many things to offer for everyone. Pack a swimsuit because there are 8 miles of beach along the eastern side of the island. Bring your bike (or rent one on the island) to get around everywhere. As a state park, the island is full of flora and fauna; many of these bike paths go through wooded areas. The Jekyll Island Club Historic District is rich in sights and history. The Georgia Sea Turtle Center is here as well.
Jekyll Island also has many restaurants. Tortuga Jacks, The Wharf, Zachry's Riverhouse, Jekyll Island Seafood Company...even Dairy Queen. There's a Grand Dining Hall at the Jekyll Island Club Resort. On the east side of the island is the Beach Village (groceries, gift shops, food/bars, etc.).
There is also Putt-Putt & golf courses, dolphin tours, a nearby casino cruise, kayaking and horseback riding along the North side of the Island,
