College Best Friend - From never crossing paths at COD to forming the most dominant center back pairing in UIUC intermural co-ed soccer history (suck it, Catholic Illini!). The summer they spent together at school strengthened their brewing bromance, culminating years later in Jakub's knight-in-shining-armor moment when he saved Gus from getting his ass kicked for throwing up on some dude's shoes. Just don't ask him how to play Civil War...

Best Friend/College Roommate- Jamie and Rachael met freshmen year of college, where they lived a few doors down from each other in the same dorm. After horrible roommate experiences they decided moving in together would be the best thing ever. Ever since then, they have had countless dance parties and gossip sessions forming their strongest bond over mozzarella sticks. Jamie is dating Gus's old college roommate, Q, and now Jamie and Rachael get to torture both of them!

College Best Friend - Kevin and Gus were unofficial roommates their first year at Illinois on account of how many times Gus crashed on his couch. Gus repaid that hospitality by drunkenly falling asleep before Dominos delivered their order, resulting in a cancellation and a hangry Kevin. Nowadays Kevin plies his trade as a slightly-above-average Fantasy Football League Commissioner. Shared interests include Bears, Bulls, and Fire Flus.

Adopted Sister x2- Jaime was Bri's sister and since Rachael spent all her time with Bri, Rachael spent all her time with Jaime too. Jaime was the best big sister, babysitter and personal chauffeur. It was constant entertainment when all of them were together and Jaime would be left in “charge”. She always had Rachael’s back and her smile, creativity and friendship were always and still are appreciated.

Future brother-in-law. Jason is Rachael's younger brother and the couple's future lake house co-owner. Forever joined by the traumatic over-salting Thanksgiving incident of 2023, Gus and Jason enjoy talking Bears, fantasy football, and mocking Rachael's Facebook marketplace antics ($1 hangers anyone?)

Rachael's Adopted Sister - Bri and Rachael have been best friends since they were both able to walk. Growing up down the street from each other, most of their childhood they were inseparable. Endless sleepovers, soccer tournaments and family dinners they were never apart and their families became great friends. Since Rachael moved away Bri has been trying to convince her and now Gus to move to Ohio. Despite the long distance they have remained great friends.

High School Best Friend. Due to neither being good at making plans or staying in touch, getting together more closely resembles a playdate scheduled by their wives than two old friends eager to spend time with each other. Once together, Gus and Matt are like two peas in a pod if the peas were very different from one another. One of his favorite people ever, Gus was honored to be Matt's Best Man and is lucky to have him by his side for his "I do".
