Labor Day is on September 7 in 2026, so we recommend taking the week before Labor Day to allow for travel time and explorations!

Dolomites Wedding Guide [Click "VIEW" to access full guide]

Travel Tips & Wedding Guide Our wedding will be spread over 3 days (day 1 and day 3 are optional); the rest of your trip is yours to explore. There's so much to see in the area, and we really encourage you to make a vacation out of it. This guide contains information for those who are new to Italy, as well as those who are regular visitors. We have been to the area three times in the last three years, so this guide has recent updates. Please reach out to Jane or Chance with any tips you’d like to share, or questions/comments about the guide or your particular itinerary/travel plans. If you are limited to a week, we recommend this itinerary with direct flights from New York: Fly into Venice, walk off the jet lag (city with no cars, no need to rent a car, lots to do); drive or take bus north to Dolomites wedding (3.5 hours). When you’re ready to go home, fly out of Milan (3 hours by car west of the Dolomites). We'll be honeymooning in Venice the week before the wedding, so feel free to reach out and meet up!

Dolomites Hotel List 2025-2026 (updated 10/27/25)

[Click "VIEW" for access] Edited list of recommended hotels in the Dolomites area, accessible on foot or by car. If you are eager to book early (9-12 months ahead), we rec booking hotels/Airbnb in Venice first, as it’s the most touristed area, and the Airbnbs are the best deals with big jumps in price and low inventory a few months before the booking. We already have our Venice apartment booked for next September before the wedding.
