This is one of our favorite places to get outside when we don't want to drive too far but still feel like we're out of downtown TC. There just so happens to be a great brewery (Earthen Ales) and winery (Left Foot Charley) just steps away from the trailhead. This is on the same property as the The Village at grand Traverse Commons!
If you have time, take a stroll inside the historic State Hospital to experience history, shopping and dining. NOTE: This property is in between the ceremony and reception, the perfect place to kill some time before the fun begins at The Cathedral Barn! This is the same property as The Cathedral Barn.
If you haven't been to downtown Traverse City, or even if you have, it's the most quaint yet happenin' little northern Michigan downtown there is. Shops, bars, breweries, the State Theatre and more :)
If Alex is late to the wedding it's because he's out riding his bike on the Vasa single track... fun trails and will be so pretty in October!
One of Britt's favorite places! Recommendations include: Station Salad with goat cheese, Wolverine and/or Stoker pizza, Huntington IPA or Walla Walla for brews.
Alex's favorite place to close down the bar and pool table (order a hot turkey and cheddar and wash it down with a pitcher of your favorite beer).
If you're feeling active, check out the new climbing gym!
Google it. And then make time to visit while you're here.
All the views of Lake Michigan without the hike. Not to mention, it's an unforgettable scenic drive - especially during peak color season when you're here!
Great spot for a sunset and you can take a nice stroll on the TART trail!
