Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

In order to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, only the guest formally invited on your wedding invitation will be accommodated. If you received a plus one, they will appear when you RSVP. If you require additional guests, please let us know by 8/25. Thank you <3

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

There will be Indian small bites at cocktail hour and a full Indian buffet for dinner. There will be vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options but please notify us of any specific allergies. Please eat lunch prior to our afternoon ceremony as food will not be served until cocktail hour.

Do I need to stay in your room block?

Answer

Ideally, all guests should stay in the room block in the Palisades Village, nearby hotels in the village, or an airbnb that is walking distance on the night of the wedding. We will be celebrating late and want you all to be safe and avoid late night mountain roads!

Can I bring gifts to the wedding?

Answer

Your prescence is gift enough but if you choose to buy us a gift - we will have a wedding card box at the reception. We request any large gifts be purchased through our registry and mailed to us.

What time will your reception end?

Answer

The formal reception will end our 10pm but we will have an afterparty where all are welcome!

Will there be a gap between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes! While Jonny and I take photos and get glam for the reception , there will be a short gap. We recommend guests use this time to explore the village , check into their hotel and change into formal attire for the reception.

Will there be additional events during the wedding weekend?

Answer

There will be an optional Tahoe City beach day prior to the wedding and a welcome party. Details of the full weekend are TBD - stay tuned!

Do I have to wear indian clothes?

Answer

No, We request bright colors at the ceremony - this can be Indian or Western wear, just have fun with it! We request formal or cocktail attire for the reception, think glitter, glam and classy :) If you wish to wear Indian clothes - some nice websites are lashakaraa, the saree room, Kalki and even Etsy! Reach out to prathima if you have questions 🫶

What if I don't RSVP in time?

Answer

If we do not receive your RSVP by the date provided(8/28/25), it will automatically be marked "no". We will miss celebrating with you but it is imperative we provide our vendors with a final guest count within the requested time frame. Thank you for understanding!

Which events are indoor/outdoor?

Answer

The welcome party is primarily outdoors with heaters/firepits with a smaller indoor space The ceremony will be outdoor on the lawn The cocktail hour will be on a shaded deck The reception will be indoors.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

High 60s and sunny during the day, mid 30's to low 40s at night. Tahoe weather can be unpredictable - bring warm clothes for the welcome party and the ceremony
