Flight

Flying Here....?

If you plan on flying in for the wedding we recommend Billings Logan. The airport is small, laid back, and convenient. The airport is full service and has rentals if you want to do some exploring while you're here. If you need rides from the airport don't hesitate to ask one of us for help. Some advice for planning your flight: Watch 3rd party apps like Hopper or Priceline to find low cost flights BUT DO NOT purchase the tickets through them. If you purchase from the airline directly you have more flexibility with re-scheduling or re-funding your tickets. If you purchased tickets through a 3rd party they will not accommodate you (and neither will the 3rd party)....trust us we know.

Travel Note

Driving Here...?

If you have the time we strongly encourage you to drive here. Driving should minimize your risk of large crowds, give you more flexibility for deciding areas where you want to stop/stay, and it also gives you the opportunity to see most of the country that you may not normally get to travel through. It also means you'll have a vehicle in case you want to explore Montana or Wyoming.

Vacation Rentals

We suggest this option for staying in Montana as it is the most comfortable one. Air B&B/VRBO rentals in Red Lodge over Labor Day weekend do seem to be available. We think issues with Covid-19 in the spring have caused a lot of cancellations in Red Lodge, so while it originally looked like a situation were nothing was available, there appears to be a good deal of availability now. If you can’t find one you like, there is a hotel block at the Beartooth Hideaway (reserve before July 1st) and the Yodeler (reserve before August 5th). If you’re really having trouble finding somewhere to stay, there will be plenty of options in Billings (one hour drive from Red Lodge). There are also other options in smaller communities near Red Lodge like Absarokee or Nye (~35 mins away).

Hotel

Beartooth Hideaway Inn & Cabins

1223 Broadway Avenue South
Red Lodge, MT 59068

Please reserve these rooms before July 1st or they will be given away! Ask for the Poynter/Sprung wedding block.

Hotel

Yodeler Motel

601 Broadway Avenue South
Red Lodge, MT 59068
 (406) 446-1435

This is a super cute hotel! Please reserve rooms at least a month before the wedding. Ask for the Poynter/Sprung wedding block.

Travel Note

Camping

Camping is an option for folks that are more rustic. Several Forest Service campgrounds are nearby with the Pallisades Campground being the closest, it's right up the road from the wedding venue! Most of these campgrounds don't have services and won't accommodate large trailers or RVs but if you feel like it camping is an awesome way to save money (most are free) and enjoy the mountains! Check out the website for a map and links to the different services available at these campsites.
