Question

What's our Covid plan?

Answer

Sadly, Covid is with us in a way that we had hoped would be less of an issue at this point. We are asking that all guests (who are eligible) be vaccinated and boosted. We encourage folks to get tested as well. Please don't come if you're sick or think you could get others sick, we'll understand! Masking is not required since it's an open-air outdoor event, but you're absolutely welcome to wear one if you're nervous. All of our vendors have been vaccinated and anyone serving food/ drinks will be masked. We love you, stay safe!

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive between 4:45-5pm on Saturday, Feb. 26!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There will be self-parking in the field across from the wedding amphitheater area as well as some parking near the café.

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

There is a style guide for guests under the photos tab! But basically…layers! The temperature will likely fluctuate so make sure you’re comfortable, encouraging close toed shoes because the venue involves a lot of dirt and rocks. Would like for people to dress up a little bit, but no pressure, especially since folks are camping. Powell, of course, be the most “overdressed” ;-)

Question

Can my kids come?

Answer

We welcome children! Powell's family has a lot of kids and many people in the wedding party/ close friends will have young children and new babies so it's not a big deal. Please just be mindful of the fact that this is mostly an adult wedding with a lot of partying, we want YOU to have fun, and it might also be chilly at night. Our only request is that if your child starts fussing during the ceremony/ speeches that you take them for a little walk until they are composed :-)

Question

Can I bring my dog?

Answer

That's up to you...dogs must be leashed at the parks and they can't come to the ceremony/ reception. If you feel comfortable managing that, feel free! Nero will be with us.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

While we would love to invite everyone, please note that we would prefer only partners attend the ceremony and reception...but casual dates/ friends/ family are welcome to camp for the weekend!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Sort of...we hear there's 1 Uber driver and a "tipsy" bus, but there are not a lot of options.

Question

Any rules I need to be aware of?

Answer

Yes! Since we will not be the only campers there that weekend, guests will have to wear a wristband at the reception in order to enjoy the open bar and food provided by the Wood-Kreis family. During the ceremony/ reception ONLY: They do not allow guests to bring alcohol into the wedding venue Amphitheater, any alcohol consumption needs to be acquired through their bartenders. There will be a Suwannee security guard during the main event to make sure guests are behaving reasonably and that outsiders are not crashing the party. Quiet time is at 11pm, but there will be a low-key after party at the treehouse.

Question

What food/ drinks will be provided?

Answer

THURSDAY: Everyone will fend for themselves, though we welcome folks to come hang out at the treehouse while we get ready and eat a light dinner. We'll have a cooler full of beer! FRIDAY: Everyone will generally fend for themselves during the day. Anyone helping with set-up will have access to bagels/ coffee. The Crevello family will be providing pizza and drinks for the rehearsal dinner. This is mostly for the wedding party, family and close friends. There will be a chance for folks to join at 7pm for after-dinner toasts and drinks. SATURDAY: Feel free to go to the café for breakfast. The wedding party will be having a small brunch-lunch before getting ready at the treehouse, feel free to come hang out, bring yourself some lunch for a picnic/ yard game fun! The wedding reception will include an open bar, appetizers, vegetarian dinner options, and a dessert table. SUNDAY: We will likely gather to snack on leftovers/ brunchy snacks and enjoy a beer before everyone hits the road!

Yes!! Lots of the Tallahassee friends have extra tents and camping gear they have offered to lend, so if you let us know ahead of time, we'll get you set up. There's also a Walmart 10 minutes from the site. Here's a good camping check list (copy/ paste this link): https://www.rei.com/learn/expert-advice/family-camping-checklist.html Highly encourage folks to go the RV route, go to this google doc for more info! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rkcMI2obq46LtTT7jK9aZa_IBaaBHosJyqaOOsqXAqE/edit?usp=sharing

Question

What if I forget something?

Answer

There's a Country Store located within the Park where you can rent a golf cart (call and say you're with the Kreis-Crevello wedding to get 10% off), get some firewood, ice, soda, beer and things that you might need to get you through your visit. The Country Store also has merchandise, such as TeeShirts, Hats & Caps and other cool stuff. Visit the Country Store’s website for more information: SOSMPCountryStore.com The main part of Live Oak is also 10 minutes from the campgrounds where they have a Walmart and other essentials.

Question

Should I rent a golf cart?

Answer

YES! If you're on site, we highly recommend it. There are 100 carts and you get 10% off if you call and reserve them under the Kreis-Crevello wedding party. They are fun and will make your life easier if you don't have a bike. Bring things to decorate them with!
