What to Expect (see tabs for details)

Feb. 24 - 27th, 2022

Powell and Christopher are SO excited to get married and celebrate their union with all of their wonderful family and friends. They are having a semi-alternative wedding at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, Live Oak FL. Try not to think of this as a traditional wedding...they are wanting more of a music festival camping weekend vibe with a romantic ceremony highlight. The ceremony will be Saturday evening, February 26th, 2022 and go late into the night. The wedding party will arrive Thursday and leave Sunday, all are welcome to come when they can. They encourage as many people to be on-site as possible; that's where all the fun and social time will be. Live Oak does not have a ton to offer, so they hope you will camp or rent an RV (very limited cabins), but if you choose the nearby hotels, come hang out at the park during the day for yard games, kayaking, river time, cocktails, and general fun. At night, get ready for bonfires, stars, and a party in the woods! **Since there will be quite a few unvaccinated children at this wedding, we respectfully request that only vaccinated adults attend the wedding weekend. Thank you for understanding!

How we met...ish

Hulaween 2018

After Powell left her job at Chico's as a jewelry designer and finished her self-discovery solo backpacking trip through Europe, she ended her adventure at her favorite music festival, Hulaween, at the Spirit of the Suwannee music park. Christopher, the handsome geologist from Tallahassee, had recently befriended the usual festival crew and decided to join in on the fun. Their mutual friend (Chase) realized that they were both single and might hit it off; man was he right "Thanks Chase!" After a fun weekend of dancing, camping, and getting to know each other...they said goodbye, but agreed to keep in touch. Powell, still living in Fort Myers at the time, would visit Chris whenever she came home to Tallahassee. They would have fun with friends, chat occasionally, but nothing serious. Finally, when Powell decided to move back to Tallahassee and take a job with LeMoyne Arts, Christopher and Powell started spending a lot more time together. He kindly helped her move in, paint her new house, set up and clean up for parties...but since Christopher is a bit shy, it took him a while to finally ask Powell on a date! After a year of casually dating, things started to get serious at her 2020 New Years' party, after that, they became inseparable! When the pandemic first hit, they decided to quarantine together, and it bonded them in a way few things can. Now, desperately in love, they are overjoyed to celebrate their union as husband and wife...excited about their present and optimistic about their future.
