Please RSVP by November 22, 2024! You will receive an RSVP card in the invitation suite as well as a business card with a QR code to our wedding website! please RSVP on either the card and mail it in or on the website! You DO NOT need to do both! if you do not RSVP in time we will assume that you are unable to attend.

Question

What do I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "not attending" so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

Question

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you have a guest you will be notified via your RSVP card or when you RSVP on our website.

Question

What is the Attire?

Answer

We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up for our big day! We are asking that all guests were semi-formal attire. Be aware that both the reception and ceremony are indoors, but since it is the first day of winter that it may be cold! We do ask that you do not wear jeans please avoid wearing shades of blue and white.

Question

Are kids invited/allowed?

Answer

We love little kids however, the only kids who are invited are those in the family of the bride and groom and those whose parents are playing a special role in our special day. Invitations will be specific and will include the names of the children who are invited. If you child is not invited we encourage you to use this weekend as a date night or a child-free weekend!

Question

What time should I arrive to the Ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at Emory United Methodist Church at 2:00pm. Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow time for parking and finding your seat.

Question

Is the reception venue inside or outside?

Answer

The reception will be held inside the barn; however, please pay attention to the weather leading up to the day of the wedding. Though Virginia's winters are not typically bad during December, the weather can be unpredictable. Please plan accordingly

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

Both the Church and the Barn have free on-site parking. At the barn there will be a parking lot behind the barn and there will be someone to guide you to the correct spot. We encourage you to carpool if applicable or possible as parking at the barn is a little more limited. Thank you!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us and for our photographer to be able to capture the best pictures which we will share with you. Once the ceremony is over feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like and don't forget to share them with us!

Question

How do I get to the reception venue?

Answer

there are a couple ways that the GPS will tell you to get to Middle Fork Barn. However, the best way is as followed. Please make sure to take I-81 towards Bristol. Take Exit 19 and turn left at the light. Follow US-58. If using a GPS, it should reroute you once you get off Exit 19. If you are not using a GPS follow US-58 and turn onto Rivermont Dr (Virginia 706). Turn right to stay on Rivermont Dr. The Barn entrance will be on the left.
