The year was 2019. Michael and Hannah, though they had crossed paths before because of mutual friends in college, they officially met at band camp. Hannah sat in front of Michael during clarinet sectionals and they marched beside each other for a good chunk of their marching band show. They became fast friends, but it wasn't until after the marching season when they became closer. At the start of the spring semester Michael and Hannah started to grow closer, getting food, studying, and watching movies together. It was obvious to everyone that there was something there, except for Hannah. Michael asked Hannah to be his valentine and Hannah said she was not in a place for a relationship at the time. The two were sent home for quarantine shortly after, in the spring of 2020. Throughout the entire quarantine, the two spent time talking about their lives at home. Once they returned to school, 6 months later, things picked up where they left off. Eventually Michael got encouraged by friends to ask Hannah to be his girlfriend in September of 2020 and she finally said yes. They spent two years getting to know each other, meeting each other's families, and falling more in love. On September 3, 2022 (their two year anniversary), Michael proposed in the Biltmore Garden. It was an immediate yes and the rest is history! Michael and Hannah have loved this season of being engaged and have hit some major milestones together, but that can't wait to start the next chapter in their relationship: their marriage.
