Maid of Honor
Ashley has always been my go-to person- whether it has been exchanging inspiration pictures of fringe bangs in middle school (totally not a bad decision), confiding in each other secrets during our high school sleepovers, or now her providing me with financial tips as an adult (taken straight from the financial algebra class she teaches her high-schoolers). She is independent, but dependable, and honest without being judgmental. Ashley has stood by my side for twelve years, so being maid of honor for Anthony's and I wedding day was only fitting.
Best Man
Justin and I met in sophomore year of high school when he transferred to my school. Even though we had a class together all year, we didn't really start talking until the end of the year when we accidentally ran together for student council (in case you were wondering, we won the election). Although we were almost forced to spend time together at first, we quickly became great friends. Justin and I worked well as a team because of our complimentary skills. I would write awful English assignments, and he would edit them so that they were legible. He would get his old Monte Carlo stuck in the snow or in the field (let's just say multiple times), and I would help him get it out. Justin was my trusted Vice President and now he will be my best man.
Officiant
Michael has been my best friend since the third grade. Our relationship started when we were paired up as lab partners for poorly constructed science experiments (moldy potatoes?) and elementary school podcasts, but really began to grow over AOL (yes, that old) and late-night Skype sessions. But besides his role as my dearest friend, Michael also had the pivotal part as Anthony's freshman year roommate. I'm not sure what antics they got up to while sharing their dorm room across the hall, but they have their own private jokes that I am not privy to. Michael is the reason Anthony and I met, and as our beloved friend, he will be the one that officiates our marriage.
