Anthony was the boy next door- well, actually, he was the randomly-assigned roommate to my best friend from elementary school (Michael), that just so happened to live in the suite across from mine our freshman year of college. We met on the first day of orientation week, but it wasn't until one day- where I went to go to lunch with Michael, but Anthony answered the door- that we actually started talking. Anthony told me that Michael had already left, just as I saw Michael coming to the door to greet me. Lying to a stranger might not sound like the best way to start a relationship, but in our case, it ends in marriage. Our relationship has come a long way since then. We've been together for almost eight years now. Anthony and I have gone from biology majors studying in the library all day and only taking breaks to eat in the dining hall, to college graduates applying to doctoral programs and moving to a new city together, to now becoming entry-level health professionals with a wedding in our upcoming future. And during this time, we have made so many amazing memories, sweet friends, and new family members- oh, and we adopted a cat, Tigger. We are so excited to share this celebration of our relationship with everyone, and so very grateful that our lives changed just from opening one door.
