FAQs & all that nonsense

The Wedding Website of Phoebe Leonard and Peter Buck Dettmann
If you have any questions not covered below, please feel free to ask. Unless it pertains to marsupials. They will not be in attendance and that is final. You can email us any time or call Pete on 646-371-4368 or Phoebe on 646-420-0976 or do the facebook/facetime/skype thing that all the kids are using these days...
Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 6.15pm.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely. The restaurant has assured us they can cater to any dietary requirements provided you don't exclusively eat cats.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 1st.

Question

So, is this the actual ceremony?

Answer

No. We are planning to get the paperwork out of the way before hand so we can concentrate on enjoying the company of our nearest and dearest! There will be a few speeches throughout the evening and we would love anyone wishing to play/sing or perform for us to do so at our after party!

Question

Will there be singing, dancing or any other ridiculous behavior?

Answer

There will indeed be the opportunity for such silliness at our Speakeasy after party. So keep yourself hydrated! We would love and encourage all performer types to contribute, just let us know if you require any special set up. A piano or keyboard, mic and amp equipment will be available. Fire eaters are NOT encouraged to participate, but we respect your craft.

Question

Is there parking nearby?

Answer

Are you kidding? It's Manhattan. Don't even try to park! Get yourself a yellow taxi, an Uber or a Lyft or brave the New York subway system! The nearest subway is the F train at 2nd Avenue. You can also get the RW to Prince Street or the J train at Bowery.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

No. Unless they are very little we would prefer that this remain an adults only event. But we think your kids are awesome. Cats are also not invited.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail as you like it! And it will be June, so fingers crossed, the weather should be quite mild. Maybe bring a jacket or coat just in case it gets a little chilly later on.

Question

Will there be alcohol at the reception?

Answer

Yes. And before. And afterwards. There will be no Koalas present, so you're safe.

Question

Should Australian guests bring a New York phrase book so as not to confuse the wait staff?

Answer

Despite what you might have seen and heard on TV, New Yorkers do understand Australian accents so you should be fine. Thanks Hugh Jackman!
