When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please let us know whether you’re able to attend by 12 October. This helps us finalise numbers and dietary requirements with our venue.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

There’s no formal dress code - it’s a relaxed, fun wedding celebration in an evening bar setting. Dress up in a way that feels comfortable and like you. Anything you’d happily wear to celebrate a special occasion is perfect.

Will the event be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We have the entire venue booked. We expect that guests will spend most of the time in the upstairs space and the connected courtyard, which is also covered by a retractable awning if it rains.

What time will the night end?

Answer

The reception will officially wrap up at 12:30am, but please don’t feel you need to stay the entire time - come and go in a way that feels right for you.

Can I take photos?

Answer

We’d love you to take photos during the reception, but please keep your phones away during the ceremony so we can keep it intimate. We’d also appreciate it if you hold off posting photos of the two of us until after we’ve shared a few ourselves, but please feel free to upload/share any other photos whenever you like! Thank you for understanding!

Are children welcome?

We adore your little ones, but this will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you can enjoy a night off to celebrate with us!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We love you all, but we’ve had to keep the guest list tight. If your invite includes a plus one, it will say so - otherwise, it’s just you we can’t wait to celebrate with.

How do I get there?

Answer

We suggest public transport, a taxi, or a rideshare for a stress-free night. The reception is at Tippler & Co, which is at 58 Wellington Parade, East Melbourne VIC 3002. It’s an easy spot to get to by public transport, with Jolimont Station right across the road, and plenty of trams stopping nearby.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

If you do prefer to drive, there’s a two-hour zone right out the front, and we’ve been told the nearby Pullman Hotel has plenty of spaces.

What food will be served?

Answer

We’re keeping things cocktail style - lots of little and more filling canapés that will definitely add up to a full meal. There’ll also be a grazing board to nibble from and dessert, plus some late night snacks!

Is it an open bar?

Answer

Yes! There will be free-flowing drinks until around 10:30pm. After that, drinks will still be available to purchase at the bar. The drinks package includes a selection of sparkling wine, white wine, red wine, tap beers, mocktails and soft drinks, plus a cocktail to start. Any other drinks can be purchased at the bar.

How do I let you know about dietary requirements?

Please include any dietary requirements when you RSVP so we can pass these on to the venue.

Do you have a registry?

Answer

We don’t have a registry. Your presence is more than enough! For guests who wish to give a gift, a wishing well will be available, or you may of course give a gift of your choosing.
