Peyton and Blake met at the end of their freshman year of college at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. They were in the same Business Writing class. On April 20, 2016, Peyton happened to be running late for class – a rare occurrence for her – and was left with no choice but to sit in the front row of the classroom (something she otherwise would avoid at all costs). As a result, she sat right in front of Blake. As fate would have it, a group project was assigned on this day, and Peyton and Blake paired up to work together on it. Their first assignment was to conduct mock job interviews on each other and subsequently write a rejection letter with constructive feedback. Peyton did not hold back, and Blake is still working on that constructive feedback today. From there, the two started studying together and collaborated on more group projects. They found themselves hitting it off right away, and probably spent more time than necessary studying together to be in each other's company. They became close friends and continued to spend time together into their sophomore and junior years, taking classes together and enjoying many beach days and hikes. Their junior year, Peyton confessed her feelings for Blake – and he was the only person who was surprised! The feeling was mutual, though, and they started dating. They became a couple on February 5, 2018. After graduating college, Peyton and Blake both moved back to their hometowns in the Bay Area – Peyton to Danville, and Blake to San Jose. Peyton moved to San Francisco the following year, where she has happily been residing ever since. Though they lived over an hour apart for 4 years, they visited each other frequently, spending as many weekends together as possible. They also started traveling together. Blake moved to Sausalito in 2023 to be closer to Peyton. On May 14, 2025, after 7 years together, Blake proposed to Peyton at Montara State Beach near Pacifica – one of their favorite spots. She said yes, and thus here we are! Peyton and Blake are now loving their life together in San Francisco, and can't wait to celebrate their wedding with you in Bodega Bay on the official last weekend of summer this September!
