Question

what will the weather be like?

Answer

Our August wedding falls right in the last few weeks of winter, so expect cool temperatures between 2°C and 16°C. Mornings might be a bit frosty, but the good news is this part of the South Island usually enjoys crisp, clear days with plenty of sunshine — perfect for a ceremony outdoors! 😉

Question

whats the dress code?

Answer

Friday night: Fun dressy casual Saturday: See 'Dress Code' tab Sunday: Honestly if you turn up in uggs, that's okay.

Question

when do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP before the 24th December 2025.

Question

can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Our wedding venue has limited space, so if you have a plus one, their name will be included on your invitation. We can’t wait to celebrate with you both! You're welcome to bring those not formally invited to the main celebration on Saturday to the welcome drinks & recovery brunch. Please just let us know who is coming prior :)

Question

are kids welcome?

Answer

Your invitations will note the kids who are invited. Please understand that our wedding venue is not suited to having any more than this. We'd love for you to use this as a night off! You're welcome to bring the little ones to the welcome drinks on Friday and the recovery brunch on Sunday.

Question

how do we get to the venue?

Answer

We’ve arranged a coach to make things easy — it’ll leave from outside The Drifter/Rambler at 1:00pm, giving you plenty of time to settle in before the ceremony begins at 2:30pm. When the party winds down (11 PM-ish), the bus will whisk you back to the city. We're aiming to have you back in Christchurch just gone midnight. We know weddings can be a bit of a marathon! So if the coach times don’t quite suit, we’re happy to help you explore other transport options. Just check out the 'Travel' section for more info. You’re more than welcome to stay out near the venue if you’d like a slower start the next day. Just keep in mind that local taxi services are pretty limited, so we recommend booking ahead if you’re planning your own ride.

Question

what time should I be there?

Answer

If you are not getting the coach, the ceremony starts at 2:30pm, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to this starting. If you are getting the coach, don't fret you will arrive at the wedding venue at 2pm.

Question

can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’re going unplugged for the ceremony, so please tuck your phones away and put them on “Do Not Disturb” once we start. Don’t worry — we’ve got an awesome photographer who’ll capture all the special moments and share them with you later. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you like! And definitely share your favourites with us.

Question

do you have a registry?

Answer

Honestly, having you with us is the best gift we could ask for! But if you’d like to help us make our honeymoon extra special, a contribution to our honeymoon fund would be appreciated.
