This is the #1 spot we eat out in town. For our Southwest family & friends who like delicious Mexican cuisine, this place will make you feel right at home! The margaritas are strong and delicious. :)
WOW Hall
An iconic, very long-standing Eugene venue for music! (Mix of famous and local artists usually.)
Art House
Really unique movie theater inside an old church that plays a whole host of old & new independent movies that you won't likely find elsewhere. Great atmosphere with a bar and yummy treats.
Metro Cinemas
Another really cool, unique, artsy movie theater that always has a good selection of movies.
Blairally Vintage Arcade
Super fun barcade with vintage pinball machines and other arcade games and a fun, laid-back, unpretentious atmosphere. Weekly themed dance nights! This one is close to Tacovore and while you're over here, check out the whole Blair Ave neighborhood for cool murals, shops, bars & food trucks! This is our neighborhood. :)
PLAY Eugene
Another fun barcade with a ton of different game options, food carts, and a great bar menu. Right down the street from where we live!
Cascades Raptor Center
This is a very cool bird sanctuary in the south hills above Eugene. Beautiful nature scenery and really cool bird tours. The fox Hollow hiking trail is right across the street and also very much worth it!
Ridgeline Trail - Fox Hollow Trailhead
Semi-easy hike in some beautiful PNW forest with a bit of elevation, but nothing super steep or difficult. Well-maintained dirt path that is relatively flat with some hills. You can start here and hike out-and-back on a loop to the same trail head, or connect to longer hikes along the ridgeline from here! We take BMO here to hike often. :)
Sweet Creek Falls Trailhead
This is relatively close to the wedding venue! If you're the hiking type, this would be a great stop before the wedding or after. If time & energy allow, we will attempt to head here with a group the day after the wedding! This is a relatively short and easy (but not entirely flat) hike out to a gorgeous waterfall through some pristine forest. It's our favorite hike in the area. <3 There are TONS of other trails in the area of all sorts, so if you'd like more recommendations like this, let us know!
Owen Rose Garden
This is a well-known garden, but we're adding it because it's right down the street from our house in a large, lovely park we frequent - which also has several playgrounds for kids and a flowing river! This time of the year, the roses should all be blooming, so this is a not-to-miss spot if you love flowers and gorgeous smells permeating the air! There are literally dozens of parks in Eugene, so if you'd like more recommendations of that sort, let us know!
The Official Simpsons Mural, Springfield Oregon
This whole neighborhood in Springfield is spattered with Simpsons murals for a fun photo op, and you can grab a bite to eat at numerous great eateries in the same area! Also check out the plethora of antique stores here, if you're into that type of thing!
Skinner Butte Park
This is basically in our back yard. Lovely trails all over the butte. Defcent view of the south & west sides of Eugene from the top!
Eugene Saturday Market
We frequent this market on Saturdays! On one side of the block is the farmer's market and on the other side is a market with local artisan vendors. Fun to poke around on a Saturday morning or early afternoon.
