How to get there and where to stay

Hotel

The Mansion on the Park Merida

This is where Jose and I will be staying and the wedding ceremony and reception will take place. Truly a luxurious stay. Please go to http://www.mansionmerida.com/ to reserve your suite. Otherwise, consider going through an external partner to book such as Hotels.com, Google, Booking.com, or Expedia.

Hotel

Hotel Hacienda VIP

Calle 62 No. 441-A por Calle 51
Mérida, Yuc. 97000, Mexico
 +52 999 924 5927

A very close 4 star hotel near the wedding venue. You can book directly on their website https://www.hotelhaciendamerida.com/vip/reservaciones/index.php?lang=2, but you may find lower rates on Hotels.com, Booking.com, or Expedia.com.

Hotel

Hyatt Regency Merida

344 Avenida Colon
Mérida, Yuc. 97000, Mexico
 +52 999 942 1234

A middle of the road option. The Hyatt is located downtown near attractions as well as about a 10 minute taxi ride from The Mansion where the wedding will take place.

House Or Rental

AirBnB

There are several affordable options near downtown Merida. Pick a place near El Centro, Historic District, or St. Lucia Park.

Flight

Manuel Crescencio Rejon International Airport

Merida has it's own airport. There are no direct flights to Merida from the US, but several cities like Miami, Mexico City, and Cancun are typical connecting cities. It is an easy taxi ride from the Merida airport to downtown.

Travel Note

Other transportation

From the Cancun Airport Terminal 2, you may take an ADO bus to downtown Merida (centro historico). We recommend buying an ADO ticket at the Cancun Airport when you arrive. You will walk out of baggage claim and walk to the bus stands that say ADO. Tickets are around $20-30 USD. The ride is about 3.5-4 hours. You may also rent a car and drive to Merida from Cancun. Most activities will occur downtown Merida so we do not see a need for a car while you stay in Merida. Public transportation, including Uber is readily available when getting around the city.
