Car Reservations Open for Point Judith Ferry 2021

If you are planning on bringing a vehicle to Block Island, you will need to make a car reservation. The number to make a car reservation is: 1-866-783-7996, extension 3. The schedule for 2021 opens on March 15, 2021.

Train

NYC Amtrak to New London, CT Ferry

One of the easiest ways to get to Block Island is to take the Amtrak service from Penn Station, to New London, CT. From there, you can easily get on the high speed ferry from New London. There are several train options to get to New London, CT from Manhattan. You can opt to take the Acela Amtrak, or the traditional Northeast Regional, departing from Penn station. The ferry is directly across from the train station. The train time from NYC to New London is approximately 2.5 hours, so keep that in mind when booking your ferry! Drive & Ferry from New London, CT

For those of you who driving and coming from the tri-state area, we recommend driving to the New London ferry in CT. The drive takes around 3 hours from Manhattan. There are ample parking options across the street from the ferry (for as little as $20 a day) which don't require advance booking. The 2020 Ferry Schedule from New London is now live. Check out the schedule linked below. We recommend booking in advance just to be safe. Please note this service does not have a vehicle ferry. Ferry from Pt. Judith, Rhode Island

Ferries to Block Island are also available from Pt. Judith. Pt. Judith ferries offer both a traditional and hi-speed ferry. Should you plan to bring a car for the week/weekend, you'll want to make sure you book a traditional ferry ticket from Pt. Judith as that is the only ferry that you can bring a car on. Make sure to book far in advance on March 15, 2021 as car reservations fill up quick (see travel note above). The drive to Pt. Judith is about a 3 hour drive from Manhattan.

Flying to Block Island from Westerly, RI

Take a 15 minute flight on New England Airlines from Westerly, RI (about a 2-3 hour drive from NYC!).

The wedding ceremony and reception will take place at the Spring House, a gorgeous hotel right near town. Only steps away from downtown, it is easily accessible. We have a room block at Spring House to ensure you can stay there should you desire to. Please call reservations and mention the Pearl/Rau wedding to ensure a stay for Friday and Saturday night. For those joining us Thursday night for welcome cocktails, you can add the additional night or book outside the block!
