When should I book my hotel?

Answer

Book early! Block Island is a super popular destination especially in the summer. We recommend reserving your room at the Spring House, or one of the other many hotels, by early 2021.

When should I book my ferry?

Answer

If you plan on bringing a car, vehicle reservations open on March 15th, 2021. If you plan on traveling on the New London ferry, you can book when the reservations open early spring.

When should I arrive?

We would love to spend the evening with you for sunset cocktails on Thursday, August 5th at our Welcome Party! However we'd understand if coming Friday morning is more convenient. Please note that if you plan on arriving on Friday, make sure the ferry option you've selected has an option that will get you to Block Island on time.

Do I need a car?

Answer

Nope! Block Island is super small, and if you're staying in town, very walkable. There are also many taxis you can call. However, if you do decide to bring a car, you will need to take the car ferry from Pt Judith. The spots book up fast, so make sure to call and reserve as soon as the schedule is released on March 15th, 2021.

I'm flying in... where do I go?

Answer

Option A: Fly into JFK, Newark or LGA. From there, rent a car and drive to New London, park, and take the ferry from there. Option B: Fly into NYC and take the Amtrak to New London from Penn Station. The Amtrak drops you off right next to the BI Ferry in New London! Option C: Fly into Boston, rent a car and drive to Pt Judith (2 hour drive with traffic, 85 miles). Park there, or take the car ferry!
