It was love at first click! Well maybe not first click but in today's world where people connect better when there is a screen and miles of cable between them, Scott and Michelle met via one of those many online dating apps. The miles between them though were only 4 and it took less than a week before they met up for the first time at Starbucks. This was not supposed to be their first date but a chance to get some of the first date nerves out of the way. Instead, a quick coffee meet up turned into the first date that lasted until the sidewalks rolled up that night.
On the way to Savannah, Scott got a text from his boss saying that Michelle's family had run into him at the Occasion of the Arts back in Williamsburg and that "your perspective sister in law says get your ass in gear and propose!" Scott laughed which caused Michelle to ask what that was about. Not lying, he told her what it said and she just shook her head. At no point did she actually believe he was going to propose on this trip; after all, they were only on this trip because of getting talked into a timeshare vacation w/ a sales pitch interruption and she wanted to go to Savannah! Any planning of what they were going to do was planned by her or not planned at all...or so she thought. While dining on the paddle boat (that she had wanted to do), Michelle made a comment about knowing that he wasn't going to propose on this trip because she knew he would have planned out everything and made it a big deal if he was going to propose. They ordered dessert and Scott finally got Michelle to go dance with him. "Unchained Melody" was playing when all the sudden Scott pulled out THE box and popped the question on a very full dance floor! Of course, Michelle said yes! And then "Let's Get It On" started to play.
