Officiant
Sister-of-the-groom, Megan has been the biggest supporter of our relationship since Lizzi met her at The Good Lion on our second date. Megan and Matt are best friends, and she's become an incredible friend to Lizzi as well. From wine education, to career advice, to letting Lizzi "co-host" holidays and parties at her house, we can't imagine life without Megan! All of this meant that asking her to marry us was a no-brainer - who else can speak to the love Matt and Lizzi share? And who else can we trust to speak to the commitment that we're making, not only to each other, but to our families as well?
Day-Of Bridal Proxy
Although Cat was Matt's friend first, Lizzi is so honored to have gained such a great friend. Cat's organized and logical mind, not to mention her ability to throw a good Fiesta or birthday party, led Lizzi to realize that she'd be the perfect Day-Of Bridal Proxy. Cat graciously attended every vendor meeting we could get her into, walked the venue with Matt and Lizzi more than once, helped with floral design and venue layout, and lent an ear for any wedding strategizing or challenges. On the day of our wedding, Cat will be the go-to contact for our vendors to keep the day on schedule and on plan so Matt and Lizzi can just enjoy their friends and family!
Sign Designer
Claire is another friend that Matt brought in, but has been such an inspiration to Lizzi since they met. An amazing artist, Claire agreed to help us out with sign design for the bar and welcome signage (check out our Gallery page for an example of her chalk art). Her experience with chalk art from her time working in local coffee shops and bars was exactly what we needed! Beyond chalk art, Claire dabbles in nearly every genre of art including watercolor, wood-burning, embroidery, jewelry making, and more!
Floral Designer
Mika is one of Lizzi's closest friends, and the fresh floral designer for our wedding! Entering graduate school at UCSB together, Mika and Lizzi got really close in their second year through their shared love of wine, karaoke, and crafting. Mika's history with flowers stems from her brief experience working for a florist, and her natural eye for design. She offered very early on to do Lizzi's bouquet, and we took advantage and asked for her help with the dinner table arrangements too! But honestly, we would have found any excuse to add Mika to our wedding team: as a huge supporter of our relationship from its early days, Mika and her husband Bryan have become some of our closest friends.
