Hotel
This is where the wedding reception and the welcome get together the night before the wedding will be. It is also a 15 minute walk to the wedding ceremony. McMenamins is located right in the heart of downtown Bend, where there are many walkable restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. You can even get down to the river easily! It does get booked up quickly. If this is where you want to stay, I would recommend booking as soon as possible. We have a room block for guests, but if you book early enough you should be able to just do it from the website. Here are instructions to book with the room block. To book, you will want to call 541.382.5174 and press option 2, and tell them you’d like to book a room with group block code 0629WEDREC and tell them which room you’d like. Block dates are held for check-in on Thursday, June 27th with checkout being Monday, July 1st— However, you don’t have to stay all those days, but I had them held in case anyone else booking under the block wanted to stay longer. 😊
Hotel
This is another hotel right in downtown Bend. It is only a 6 minute walk from McMenamins, and also a 15 minute walk to the ceremony.
Hotel
This hotel is right across the street from where the ceremony is, but a 14 minute walk or short UBER ride to McMenamins. It is on the outskirts of downtown, about a 10 minute walk to most the restaurants, bars and shops.
Travel Note
There are also a ton of other hotel and air bnb options in Bend. Summertime is very busy with tourists, so I suggest finding what is a good fit and booking it sooner than later for the best options and rates. Places will get fully booked up closer to the date. Just note if you are on the east side of Bend, or somewhere further away from downtown, it will be a drive to the ceremony, reception and other get togethers. Ubers are pretty easy to get, and are definitely an option if you choose to stay somewhere not in walking distance!
Flight
The closest airport to Bend is in Redmond, about a 20-25 minute drive from downtown Bend. When booking make sure you select Redmond, Oregon and not Washington as there is a small airport in Redmond, Washington as well. RDM is a small airport, but has United, Delta and Alaskan Airline flights on a daily basis. Depending on the time of day you can usually get an Uber to Bend, but if you are going to be getting in really late at night or super early in the morning it is best to have a taxi shuttle scheduled in advance. Here is a link to all the taxi/shuttle services available: http://www.flyrdm.com/mobile/?TaxisGround-Transportation We generally use this budget friendly taxi service : Redmond Taxi Service: 541-548-1182 There is also the option to book a rental car! If flying into Portland, Oregon: This may be a cheaper flight option! However, it is 3 hours away from Bend. There are not many shuttle buses available and you will likely need to rent a car to drive over the pass. If you are planning on renting a car and want to drive past Mt. Hood, this is an option!
