The first time we met we were 16 year olds at a summer inservice training at Wilson Pool. We were both lifeguards, Meagan worked at Wilson and Paul at Southwest Community Center. We continued the type of casual friendship summer coworkers maintain over the years, reconnecting each summer at the SWCC, making conversation during our 15 minute breaks. It wasn't until five years later that our 15 minute life updates and teenage practical jokes turned into a budding romance and we began dating. After a whirlwind summer, we both realized that we were set to study abroad in Spain for the fall semester. With only a 3 hour train ride separating our respective cities, we decided to try our relationship abroad. We travelled throughout Spain, Portugal, England, Wales, and Morocco in those 4 short months. Upon returning to the states we decided to keep the adventures rolling and continued our long distance relationship for the next year and a half while Meagan finished school in San Diego and Paul in Eugene, OR. In the ensuing 11 years we have lived in 4 different states, lived apart while finishing our medical education, lived together in Denver, established ourselves in our careers, adopted 2 senior dogs, bought a house, traveled throughout the US and abroad, and extensively explored the Colorado wilderness. Paul proposed on a secluded beach in Mexico in June of 2022. We're excited to see what adventures this new season of life brings us!
