Paul is a 5'9 3/4" 170 lb point guard who has played basketball competitively for as long as he can remember. You can count on Paul to make the best passes and, just know that he will always make his mid-range jumpers. If Paul were 6'8", there is no doubt that he would make it to the NBA. Not only is Paul a great player and teammate, but he is also a great coach. He once led a basketball team of 8th graders to the finals only to get smacked by the opposing team. Paul has been a successful software engineer at Amazon for more than 4 years where he enjoys his work-from-home life because he gets to be with his cats all day long. You may have guessed it but Paul's favorite things to do are to play basketball, watch basketball, and coach basketball. Fun facts about Paul are that he got a 2390 on the SAT, plays the drums and guitar, and broke his arm imitating a Pokémon character at a birthday party.
Belle Lau

Belle is a 5'1" 105 lb physical therapist who recently earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy and loves cooking, running, lifting weights, yoga, pickleball, playing board games with Paul, and hanging out with her two kitties. Outside of physical therapy, Belle has recently taken up reading (as she was a huge bookworm in grade school), learning Chinese, and trying new recipes. She has ran countless 5k, 10k, and half marathon races, having started her running career when she was just 8 years old when she began to gain a little weight from eating bean and cheese burritos for lunch everyday in 2nd grade. One of Belle's life goals is to be able to complete a full marathon. Fun facts about Belle are that she has 3 tattoos, a second degree black belt in Taekwondo, graduated from UC Berkeley in only 3 years, and broke her arm in elementary school tripping over a rolling basketball.
Alexander Erickson

Anyone who meets Alex knows that you cannot take the guy seriously. He's got endless jokes up his sleeve and frequently likes to repeat them. The worst part of it all is that the jokes are (mostly) quite funny and can get a good laugh out of people even after hearing them for the third time. Alex and Paul became friends in high school and were roommates through all four years of their undergraduate at UC Berkeley. Paul and Alex became best friends in college - working out, joining a hip hop dance team, and playing video games together. In fact, Alex, Paul, and Belle were all on the same dance team. When Paul first met Belle prior to them dating, he told Alex about his feelings for Belle. Some may say that Alex has been a part of their relationship before the relationship had even begun. In his spare time, Alex enjoys playing video games, writing, and cooking. Fun fact about Alex is that he performed at both the Lincoln Center in New York City and Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.
Dhriti Yandapally

Dhriti and Belle have been the bestest of friends for 14 years and counting! Dhriti was Belle's very first friend going into middle school. It was no shock that Belle asked Dhriti to be her maid of honor. In fact, before Belle asked Dhriti to be her MOH, Dhriti was already fulfilling her role by helping Belle plan her wedding. Even though Dhriti and Belle only see each other a few times a year due to school, jobs, and distance, they text each other almost everyday. Dhriti is always the first person Belle goes to when she needs a friend to talk to. Dhriti and Belle both absolutely love football and have been in a fantasy football league for 10 years now. They used to always dream about being next door neighbors and starting a football team made up of their children. In her spare time, Dhriti enjoys cooking, crocheting, and hating on Russell Wilson with Belle. Fun fact about Dhriti is that she works for the NFL as a coordinator in football business strategy and gets to go to the SuperBowl for free every year!
Johnny Novokmet

Johnny lights up whatever room he walks in to. He is always so positive and has been the biggest fan of Belle and Paul since the beginning of their relationship. Johnny is Paul's day one, having been friends since kindergarten. Paul's mom always said that he and Johnny have their own language, only speaking in ridiculous references to shared experiences. Hundreds of these experiences came on the basketball court, having been on the same team in school and in AAU. The culmination of their basketball careers came with a championship win their senior year of high school in their local rec league (MBYB) #3334 #TheHive. In his spare time, Johnny enjoys reading, writing Yelp reviews, and watching MMA. Fun fact is that he once met Ryan Gregory Shane.
Megan Pawelski

Megan was Belle's absolute best friend in physical therapy school. Megan and Belle became friends before PT school even began, instantly bonding at a pre-school meet up over a conversation about Aaron Rogers. Since then, she is always Belle's go-to when it comes to ranting about school and general life, as well as sharing countless pictures of their kitties. Megan and Belle are known as the gossip girls at PT school and somehow happen to know all the juicy drama and rumors going around. In her free time, Megan enjoys working out, drinking wine, and traveling! Fun fact about Megan is that she used to have a pet piranha. She's also from Wisconsin so if you bump into her at the wedding, ask her to say "bag" to hear that accent come out.
Austin Yamada

Paul and Austin met freshmen year of college and immediately bonded over their shared love of basketball and board games. For this reason, it seems like they've known each other their whole lives. Every time Paul goes over to Austin's house, Austin is always ready to break out 4 new board games Paul's never seen before. During his spare time, he works in the front office for the Seattle Mariners, crunching numbers and applying analytical models. Austin also enjoys playing board games, watching movies, playing and betting on sports, obsessing over sneakers, and being the best dog dad to Chance the Napper. Fun fact about Austin is that he has the world's worst sock tan line.
Ryan Tiu

Belle first met Ryan in freshmen year of high school on the varsity cross country team. They immediately became friends, sharing a passion for running. Their friendship blossomed even more when they both got into UC Berkeley for undergrad. They were roommates for 3 years and developed so many inside jokes that no one could understand their conversations. They spent numerous late nights lying in their beds in the dark, talking about who-knows-what before realizing it was already 1am and they needed to be up at 7am for class. In her spare time, Ryan enjoys pickleball, yoga, going on strolls, and studying. Fun fact about Ryan is that she eats beans (almost) everyday.
Ryan Shane

Ryan was Paul's best friend throughout middle and high school to the point where Ryan's mom sees Paul as her third son. Paul and Ryan have spent countless hours playing video games in Ryan's basement and exploring Manhattan Beach. Ryan works in supply chain management for SpaceX and has the craziest jaw line you have ever seen. Sometimes, it's hard to be around Ryan because you know everyone is looking at him the whole time. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys live music, traveling, hockey, and football. Fun fact about Ryan is that he is scuba certified! Bonus fun fact: Ryan was also on Paul and Johnny's championship basketball team.
Anna Littrell

Anna and Belle's friendship goes back all the way to when Belle was 8 years old! Anna and Belle met in Taekwondo and then were on the same hip hop dance team a few years later. Anna has become like a younger sister to Belle and while they don't get to see each other often, it feels like no time has passed at all when they do. Their favorite hang out spot is sitting in the car in the Target parking lot catching up on each other's lives and constantly laughing about the most random things. In her spare time, Anna enjoys playing piano, painting, and eating good food. Fun fact about Anna is that she owns a small business called Lashes by Littrell.
Jordan Bremer

Paul and Jordan have been friends since freshmen year of college, despite never having gone to the same school, including college. Jordan never fails to put a smile on your face with his positive energy. Jordan is another one of Paul's friends with whom he shares a love of board games. One of Paul's favorite memories with Jordan was playing 1v1 of a 3-hour long board game multiple times in Japan while the rest of their friends were sleeping. From the beginning of their friendship, Paul and Jordan have always had each other's backs. In his spare time, Jordan enjoys spikeball, basketball and board games with friends. Fun fact is that he recently adopted a puppy named Kip who is a handful but a delight!
Jenny Zhou

Jenny was one of Belle's best friends in college. Some of you may not know, but Belle and Jenny created and started a course at UC Berkeley called "Adulting" that garnered media attention globally, including the front page of the LA Times! Jenny was Belle's partner in crime throughout undergrad and has always been a positive and supportive person in her life that she is forever grateful for. Currently, Jenny is in grad school in New Mexico to earn her Master's degree as a physician assistant. In her spare time, Jenny enjoys baking desserts, reading mystery thriller books, and doing arts and crafts. Fun fact about Jenny is that she's been on live television (with Belle!) to feature the "Adulting" course.
Daniel Legler

Paul's older brother, Daniel, grew up by Paul's side and provided support throughout their childhoods and into adulthood. When they were young, they were often mistaken for twins even though they are 2.5 years apart. They have always had a strong bond through playing games, traveling with their parents, and constantly making fun of one another. Unfortunately, Daniel could never guard Paul in the driveway. Daniel shares Paul's love for cats and has had 3 cats - and he regularly feeds stray cats around Manhattan Beach. He loves to spend time working on his house and car and in his spare time, he is an iOS software engineer at Google.
Elena Lecoq

Elena and Belle have been friends since 6th grade and have remained close to this day! Every time Belle visits her hometown in Seattle, Elena is one of the first people she contacts. Belle has to resist the urge to boing Elena's super curly locks whenever they hang out because it absolutely annoys Elena. Elena and Belle's friendship dates back to their middle school years where they would go to many concerts together and fangirl over boybands - some of Belle's fondest memories. In her spare time, Elena enjoys cooking new recipes, watching movies and TV shows, exploring different restaurants, and traveling. Fun fact about Elena is that she has gone both skydiving and bungee jumping!
Kirk La

Kirk might be the person who knows Paul and Belle the best as a couple, and his charisma made him a natural fit to be the officiant for their wedding. Kirk brings positive energy to every situation he's in. He introduced Paul to AFX Dance in college, which is how Paul and Belle met. One of Paul and Belle's most memorable vacations was going to Honolulu, Hawaii with Kirk and his girlfriend, Helen! Kirk is easy going and a great entertainer - he is one of the funniest people that Paul and Belle know. In his spare time, Kirk enjoys playing board games, hanging out with his dog Dory, and playing basketball. Fun fact about Kirk is that he bathed Paul after Paul had knee surgery. Paul and Belle cannot wait for him to marry them!
