Question

Can I fly directly from Atlanta to Buenos Aires?

Answer

Delta offers a convenient direct overnight flight, from Atlanta to BA, in which you board, have dinner, watch a movie, fall asleep and wake up in Argentina! This is however, the most expensive flight due to its commodity. A more budget friendly option, is a direct flight to BA from MIA. Please note if this is the route of your choice, you will have to book a separate ATL to MIA flight and make sure the time combination works.

Question

What is the weather like in March in Argentina?

Answer

Depending on the city, the weather will vary. Luckily, March is truly the best time to travel around Argentina. It is considered Mid-Season. The High-Peak of the crowds through the Summer will be gone, as the country prepares to transition to Fall and Winter. These destinations will have fewer tourists and the best temperatures. Mar del Plata - is quire pleasant during this time of year, as Summer Season begins to wrap up and they gear up for Fall. 75° / 55° are the average highs/lows. Layers is the name of the game for this particular city, as being on the Atlantic Ocean, the wind can change and it can get chilly. Think, San Fransisco... Buenos Aires - on the other hand, being a larger city, the temps are higher during this time of year with the highs and lows of 78° / 65°. Layers are not needed in this city. You'll be warm during the day and feel just right at night. Mendoza - much like California's wine country weather remains hot during the day and cools down (still not as much as Mar de Plata). The average temperatures here during March are 82° / 59°. Keep in mind you'll be indulging is fine dining and much wine! Leave the jacket at the hotel. Falls of Iguana - As you can imagine, this is the warmest area of Argentina during this time of year. Much like a rain forest scenario, humidity is indeed present. Temperature highs and lows are 89° / 70°. Keep in mind that this is a tropical destination and it can rain any time of the day. Patagonia - Layers are recommended here, especially for the night temps. Being in the mountain ranges, you know the drill. Temperature highs and lows are on the lower side both during the day and at night, 70° / 41°, but still very pleasant. The views take all the attention.
