FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Festive. This means cocktail attire - bold colors, patterns, and silhouettes encouraged.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

When the invites go out, your kids living at home will be included, yes!

Question

How are food allergies and preferences being handled?

Answer

Dairy, gluten, and shellfish will all be clearly labeled and separated from other items in the kitchens and when served. No peanuts will be on premises. Ample vegetarian options will be available. Chicken, beef, fish, and pork will also be served. If you have other food allergies or food restrictions, please let us know.

Question

What is your COVID-19 policy?

Answer

We’ll have more updates, including on air filtration and other safety measures, as we get closer to the event. While we won’t be asking for proof, vaccination will be required for everyone medically able, and we strongly encourage mask-wearing. We also encourage those traveling by plane or train to mask while in transit. While Covid isn’t a big deal for many, the reality is that many of our friends and loved ones are immune-compromised or are recent cancer survivors. A way you can show us love on our big day is to make sure everyone we love feels safe enough to celebrate with us. If you have questions or concerns, please let us know.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

We’ve done our best to include spouses and partners in our guest list. If your invite doesn’t have a plus-one, and you think it should, please reach out to us privately.

Question

Is there outdoor space?

Answer

Yes, but it will be November by the ocean. It may be 80 and it may be 40. So that might not be outdoor space you want to partake in.

Question

Is the space accessible for people with disabilities?

Answer

Mostly. The entrance, main celebration area, and facilities are all accessible. The bar is up a short flight of four stairs, however. Accommodation options will include accessibility information. (Some options have limited accessibility).

Question

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes.

Question

Is this location safe for people like me?

Answer

New Jersey has some of the strongest sanctuary location laws in the country, supporting immigrants regardless of status, trans people, and other targeted groups. Asbury Park and Ocean Grove are known for their vibrant queer communities and multicultural residents. Ocean Grove is also host to a Methodist Camp Meeting Association that coexists in harmony with the area’s other constituents. 2025 is 2025, but we’ve selected a location designed to be welcoming to all our guests regardless of background, belief, or identity. If you have any specific concerns, please let us know, and we can provide additional information.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Yes. No shots. Please be chill. Sober friends, we are working on cool options for you.
