Patty and Racheline initially met in an online book club and hung out in person a few times before they started dating. There were some minor logistical challenges along the way. Racheline accidentally stood Patty up on their first date because a shoot for a commercial starring James Gandolfini and an angry chihuahua ran late. After five weeks of dating, Patty left the country for an archaeological dig in Cyprus. While there, Racheline’s roommate decided to move out for a work opportunity in Macau. Racheline invited Patty to move in, but the internet connection between NYC and Cyprus went down after popping the question. This was mildly awkward and extremely suspenseful. A week later, Patty said yes. Somehow, it all worked out. Racheline and Patty will have been together 19 years at the time of their wedding.
