Fall 2019

Patrick and Lydia met at a campus Bible study group, and eventually became part of the same smaller friend group.

October 2020

Morgan invited the friend group down to Coshocton for an old fashioned barn dance. This was the beginning of the beginning for them! They drove all the way down together, alone... Why? Neither of them can remember, but they talked a lot on that trip, and found out they have a lot of the same taste in music. They also ended up dancing together several times (which is the number one way into Lydia's heart). This is the night they both think of as the first time they really noticed each other.

Fall 2020

After that, Patrick and Lydia began to get closer and slowly found ways to see each other without actually calling it a date. They got together every week to watch Sherlock and cook food together.

December 20th 2020

On their wedding date five years ago, they planned a romantic hike and dinner to watch the very last episode of Sherlock. It wasn't a date, but it was their last hang out as just friends. After that, they parted ways for Christmas break and both thought a lot about each other and what their relationship was.

January 2021

They finally admitted their feelings to one another one night, and full of excitement and nerves, Patrick asked Lydia on a date!

February 1st 2021

Patrick took Lydia to a coffee shop where they talked a lot about their childhoods and growing up, and their faith.

March 19th 2021

Patrick officially asked Lydia so be his girlfriend!

June 9th 2025

Patrick took Lydia back to the Ledges, where they'd had their kind-of first date. As they walked the path, and Lydia was way too excited about climbing around on the rocks to guess what was coming. Eventually, Patrick led her out into a big field in the middle of the woods, hugged her, said some perfect words, and then got down on one knee and asked Lydia to be his wife. To marry him and spend the rest of their lives as one. And of course, she said yes.
