Semi-formal attire. We encourage guests to coordinate with the bride and groom by wearing summer colors such as pink, yellow, fuchsia, green, orange, purple, red, grey, brown, or navy blue. Summer dresses are welcome. Please avoid white/ivory or light blue (for men).
There are two kinds of invitations that the bride and groom are sending out; one looks like a concert ticket and will show details for the wedding reception and the other is a VIP pass that has details on the private ceremony. Each ticket has a hand-written number showing how many seats/spots are being held for you or your party (see section below on "plus ones"). We are working on recording the ceremony so those that are not able to attend will still be able to see it.
The ceremony will take place in an outdoor public space. In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be relocated indoors to our reception location at the Overlook Venue located at 5313 Hauserman Rd Parma OH. NOTE: Be mindful of the summer heat! Especially for our guests attending the outdoor ceremony. Wear light or airy clothing to stay cool. The reception venue will be air-conditioned.
While most of our guests are choosing to leave their kids at home, we certainly wouldn't want you to miss spending the day with us if they can't be left at home. We do want to be transparent that some of the music played may not be suitable for little children.
Your invitation will indicate how many seats you have been given on the guest list. At the bottom of each invitation, you can find a section labeled "# of seats" which will indicate how many seats have been designated for you, your family, or your guests. The bride and groom have planned out the guest list in detail as the number of people affects the cost of food, drinks, and space. We discourage guests from attempting to bring people that have not been invited or approved by the couple, as on-site security will be obligated to intervene.
We found that most of our guests are local and do not have many out-of-state guests to warrant a hotel block. However, our reception is within a 10-minute radius from several affordable hotels in the area. You can find a list of nearby hotels under the "Travel" tab.
Our reception venue has free parking available for our guests. The ceremony location has strict limited parking, however, the bride and groom have secured a shuttle service to accomodate guests attending the private ceremony.
Weddings are expensive! We wish we could have invited everyone to the ceremony, but being able to realistically transport, pay, and manage close to 100 guests at a public space would be less than a stress-free feat. Regardless, we value everyone that we have sent an invitation to. Know that everyone we have chosen to share the day with has impacted our life in a positive way and are extremely special to us both and we wouldn't want to celebrate the day any other way.
Our music will be directed by DJ London Bridges, a well-rounded musician whose talents encompass emo, rock, the Top 40, Pop, EDM, & Hip Hop. DJ London Bridges was also selected for his MC ability hosting the Guardians games during baseball season at Progressive Field. A Photo Booth with props will be available to guests. Wedding games and outdoor yard games will be available.
