Wedding Party

Some of our favorite people! Although let's be real, we wanted to write up blurbs about how cool ALL of you are...

Emmi Kodat

Maid of Honor

A glowing blonde beauty, the Maid of Honor is one of the most insightful people the Bride has ever met. Emmi is an amazing woman of faith and has vetted everyone the Bride ever dated. She was the Bride's friend through Furman hall staff--including “a fashion show” around campus--and once gifted a massive pan of homemade tiramisu. Emmi was the Bride's roommate in their first post-college when they cohosted the best Halloween party the bride has ever pulled off, and learned how to clean an oven and how yummy kahlua is. Later, her apartment with Sarah Mae became home away from home. She is a great snow walk and New Years Day buddy and lipstick inspiration. They are sometimes seen together at improv shows watching Kelly, playing Friends Scene it, at a coffee shop or at a Parmalee concert.

Dan "The *Best* Man" Louzeiro

Best Man

Dan has been best friends with the Groom since 2010 when they found out they'd be sharing their freshman dorm. Blossoming after many late night “broversations”, their relationship has survived despite Dan’s affinity for the New York Giants and the distraction provided by his incredible wife, Katelyn. Dan took the Groom to his first concert, the Foo Fighters, and first NFL game but his greatest contribution to the Groom’s life is not forcing him to go to New Jersey too often. Dan even made time to travel to DC to vet/grill the Bride and ask about her intentions at Old Ebbitt. Dan enjoys long walks with his dog Darla, over-analyzing political polling data, and a good glass of wine or Scotch. Of note, Dan was a member of the 2012 World’s Okay-est Spring Break Trip team to Myrtle Beach.

Sarah Mae Lammert

Matron of Honor

"Smae" is the sharer of amazing mix CD's and inspirational verses, and kindred spirit wanderluster. Smae kept Jess company on many great training runs as well as yoga sessions (sometimes followed by Thai food) and Jessica's most entertaining coffee shop visit to date. She's a doctor-to-be and can out-dance anyone within a mile! She's the gifter of a quarter of the Bride's clothes, photo outing buddy and a great snow walk and New Years' Day brunch buddy. Emmi and Sarah Mae's apartment was one of Jess' homes away from home. They are seen together at Meghan Trainor concerts, on a photo outing in Asheville, DC or Greenville, jogging or at a coffee shop. Ask Sarah Mae for her Korean soap opera recommendations!

Alan Thibault aka Pops aka Dad

Groomsman

Alan aka Dad met the Groom at his birth in 1992, although the Groom is unable to confirm this. He claims to have invented the Toyota Supra (commonly confused with the Nissan Skyline) as well as the McDonald’s Sausage McMuffin, which the Groom is also unable to confirm. He was involved in many of the Groom’s formative moments: learning to walk, college graduation, first muffler replacement, and more. Dad also owns more pairs of sweatpants than most small towns in America and will give you more advice about buying trucks than you could ever use. If anyone has a higher personal best bench press, he’ll buy you a drink. You may blame him for the Groom’s propensity for making weird faces and bad jokes.

Kelly Byers

Bridesmaid

Kelly is the Leslie Knope of Travelers Rest, a champion workout, hiking and crepe buddy and owner of the Bride's adopted Greenville home. People told the Bride that she would get along with Kelly before Jess was lucky enough to squeeze into Kelly's schedule of worthwhile pursuits. She is the gifter of a quarter of the Bride's clothes, a pasta-making buddy, fellow frosé lover and once brought the Bride a tiramisu KitKat from a Canadian work trip because she’s that great. Kelly's man, Tom, is another one of the Bride's favorites and cohosted the epic 2017 out-of-style party. Kelly is Mama of Annabelle the cat (Jessica's favorite), Buddy and Chloe the great danes, two goats and many plants. Check her out doing Alchemy improv; the Bride's favorite skit was "toothbrushing as an Olympic sport".

Tom "THOMAS!!!!" Senerchia

Groomsman

Thomas met the Groom in 2014 and was stationed in Hawaii with him, only he decided to stay there while the Groom moved cross-country four times. Thomas is known for being the younger son of the man who power-washed a statue of Jesus in his driveway in Rhode Island. He has two beautiful children, Charlotte and August, and is married to the lovely Namkyung. Thomas is the Groomsman who is most like the Bride in that he will be your friend almost immediately; if you need a compliment or a big smile or a back-cracking hug, find Thomas. Of note, most of the Groom’s near death experiences occurred with Thomas behind the wheel of his infamous Volvo convertible, Vinny.

Biz Parkinson

Bridesmaid

Biz is a bundle of joy and wits. She is a fellow sociology major, great dancer, and all-around epic human being. Biz has hosted Jessica for Easter in Asheville, joined road trips to Pawley's Island, Anna Maria Island and Nashville, and most recently, bounced around DC in ~120 degree heat index on Biz's work trip and crashed an Atlanta hotel room on Jessica's work trip. Notably, Biz was the facilitator of a particularly effective screening interview for Will that will live in infamy :) We're thrilled to have her part of our day as she takes a brief break from saving the world supporting COVID-19 vaccine allocation.

Chris "Captain America" Greco

Groomsman

Chris and the groom first met in 2010 as Midshipmen at the Boston University NROTC Hazing… I mean Indoctrination as non-scholarship students. Chris has seen most of Asia and the Middle East from his time on ships but still finds time to be an excellent husband to his wonderful wife, Savannah, and an adequate pet-parent to his dog and cat. As kindred spirits, Chris and the Groom have enjoyed woodworking a cat palace, barbecuing in the beautiful San Diego weather, and not completing that unfinished round of Game of Thrones Risk together. Interestingly, Chris was the only member of the bridal party to squeal out loud when he founds out about the engagement. Of note, Will's tight hamstrings are most likely from sprinting to catch up with Chris' outstanding professional accomplishments.

Abbie Weigel

Bridesmaid

Abbie is the Bride's Tridelt friend, running buddy and dear two-year college roommate. The Bride first knew Abbie as "the girl in the pledge class who already ran a marathon" that she was in awe of. Abbie is sweet, genuine, classy and lots of fun. Abbie and David introduced the Bride to the beauty of Alabama. She is a fellow fresh produce enthusiast, a spring break buddy, and a gnome lover. Conveniently, Abbie married David who is another one of the coolest people the Bride knows--they are a wonderful pair and the Bride enjoyed many adventures with both of them like the UF-Furman football game where Furman lead the first quarter. She is the Mama of Mac and Felicity.

Dave "Dave" Touger

Groomsman

Dave met the Groom after Dave started dating his sister. Dave is calm, cool, and collected and while he shares Dan’s affinity for the New York Giants, he still gets along with the Groom. It’s probably because he’s the only real Yankees fan on this list. Fun fact: Dave has a titanium jaw. When he isn’t visiting his family and eating tacos in San Diego, playing a mean round of golf, or attending one of the six other weddings in 2021, he is a fantastic husband to Liz and a wonderful dog dad to Connecticut's greatest barkour Bich-Poo, Charlie. The Groom blames Dave for making Aaron a New York Giants fan. Another fun fact: Dave doesn't hold it against him that the Groom had an awful buzzcut when Dave got married. The Groom is hoping he'll return the favor.

Marissa McGill

Bridesmaid

Marissa is one of the cheeriest people the Bride knows. She owns a bag that says "country music, sunshine and coffee, and bacon" and that’s a pretty helpful descriptor. At work, she’s called the sugarcoated viper to describe her friendly but effective project management :) She is a dear church friend, a prolific baker, nerds out with the Bride about DC-area races and is the hostess with the mostest for many occasions. She introduced the Groom to the life-changing masterpiece that are Reeses s'mores and is also a founding member of the 4th of July Georgetown kayaking crew. Marissa is a lovely country line dancing buddy, and sometimes it's even more fun when they leave the boys at home (but only sometimes...).

Aaron "Little Brother" Ramos

Groomsman

Aaron met the Groom when Aaron was born in 2005 and they grew closer when the Groom became a primary diaper changer. Aaron is a Boy Scout and completed his Eagle Scout project last year, as well as his first ever from-scratch computer build. Aaron's pastimes include asking his older brother for money to feed his computer and boy scout project habit. He started his own video game social media presence Plamz on Youtube, Instagram, and more. Aaron is extremely outgoing and personable and if there’s one stranger you should meet at the wedding, it's him. Aaron had more girlfriends in his freshman year of high school than the Groom has ever had. Also, Aaron is the source of the Groom's oddest insult "You'll never be a fry cook!" which the Groom is still trying to unpack. #dogwatcher

Rachel Ingersoll

Bridesmaid

The Bride first heard of Rachel when their mutual friend messaged us both to ask if we wanted to go line dancing within the hour. He never doubted that we already knew each other and now the Bride understands why. Rachel is also game for 6 am community workouts on the Lincoln Memorial steps, hiking a mountain all day and then being ready for a Halloween party an hour later, hosting, planning travel, and searching out DC photo opportunities. She’s also a founding member of the 4th of July Georgetown kayaking crew (friendaversary!). She delivered one of the best early reviews of Will and then accidentally became a semi-professional third wheel. Rachel is also one of the best dancers the Bride has ever encountered, so a Biz-Sarah Mae-Rachel match-up should be particularly entertaining :)

Cody "Motorin'" Benway

Groomsman

Cody has known the Groom for the shortest time of all the groomsmen. He jumped into the Groom’s life not long after the Bride did though, and look how that turned out! Despite knowing the Bride longer than the Groom, Cody won’t be wearing a dress to the event. You’re welcome, everybody. Cody understands the Groom’s Navy-speak (Yaarrr, Matey!) and is a renowned commentator with the Groom on the line-dancing bar sidelines. During the long-forgotten pre-COVID era, he would often ride Bird Scooters with friends: imagine that! Cody is an adopted kayaking buddy and a connoisseur of medium rare steaks and his fiancée Marissa’s ridiculous baking. Fun Fact: He may be best known for owning the most interesting pet weighing less than 5 pounds in the state of Maryland, Rocky the Chinchilla.
