What's the dress code?

This is a formal, black-tie optional celebration! Formal dresses, tuxedos, or suits with ties or bowties are all perfect. Dress to impress - we can’t wait to see you looking your best!

We love your little ones, but we’ve planned an adults-only evening. We hope you enjoy a well-deserved night out!

What time should I arrive and what should I know about traffic?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM at Château Nouvelle. We recommend arriving by 4:30 PM to find your seat and enjoy the setting. Please be aware that Houston afternoon traffic typically starts building around 4:00 PM and can be especially heavy depending on where you're coming from. Be sure to plan ahead and give yourself plenty of travel time so you don’t feel rushed!

Houston is the fourth largest city in the U.S., with many vibrant neighborhoods—each offering its own experience. Whether you're into food, arts, nightlife, or relaxing vibes, there's a perfect spot for you. We've listed several hotel and area recommendations on the Travel page to help you choose what suits your stay best.

What’s the best way to get around Houston and/or surrounding areas?

Answer

Houston is a very large and spread-out city, and public transportation isn’t commonly used. If you plan to explore the city, we recommend renting a car for the most flexibility. If you’re keeping it simple and just heading to a few places, rideshare apps like Uber or Lyft are also a convenient choice.

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions or allergy?

Please let us know about any food allergies or dietary restrictions when you RSVP through our website! We’ll make sure you’re well taken care of.

Will the wedding be indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Weather permitting, the wedding ceremony will be held outdoor. The cocktail hour will be both inside and outside, and dinner + reception will take place indoors.

can I take photos at the wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony so our professional photographer can capture the moment without distractions. Once cocktail hour begins, feel free to take and share photos all night long! We’d love for you to help us capture the joy of the celebration!

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is parking available on-site at Chateau Nouvelle. That said, if you plan to drink, we strongly request using a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft so you can enjoy the night safely.

Everyone keeps telling me to try Texas BBQ—where should I go?

Answer

For a true taste of Texas BBQ, we highly recommend The Pit Room on Richmond Avenue. It’s a local favorite known for its expertly smoked meats, bold flavors, and relaxed, welcoming vibe.
