Is your elopement a secret?

Answer

Yes and no. It will not be a secret to the most important people in our life (you all!). However, we plan to make a more formal announcement after our elopement.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are keeping our celebration small, so unless your invitation specifies bringing a guest we would prefer it to just be you.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are planning this celebration to be smaller and tight-knit, taking place at the Airbnb so we can all be as comfortable as possible, but we'd still love for everyone to dress up for the occasion! Think dressy casual with fall vibes (slacks, jumpsuits, dresses and skirts, button-down shirts, sweaters, sport coats, blazers, khakis) and warm earth tone colors. We'd love to see everyone looking spiffy wearing something that makes them feel good! Keep in mind we are celebrating in a grassy backyard. (You know Mel is going to be wearing her hiking boots, or her dirty sneakers).

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

General Answer: We will have GF and vegetarian options! More Specific Answer: We are close enough with all of you that we have noted each of your food accommodations in a spreadsheet (nerds), but if you have any concerns you can reach out to Amanda or Mel directly to make sure we haven't missed anything!

What do I do when we aren't celebrating?

Answer

Great question! We chose to structure our wedding and celebration in a way that would allow us to elope in nature, celebrate with our closest family and friends, and have the space to enjoy the weekend with everyone. Outside of attending our wedding celebration on Saturday afternoon/evening we want you to feel free to explore Acadia, check out the rest of Bar Harbor, or just relax around the Airbnb with other guests to play games and enjoy the space.
