FAQs

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love our nieces and nephews, but we discourage young kids from attending. Our venue is a private home with an unfenced pool, which would require constant supervision, and we don't have child-specific accommodations or activities planned. For these reasons, you may find it more relaxing to enjoy the evening without your little ones. If you have concerns or need help with accommodations, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Question

Will the ceremony/reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The Ceremony, Dinner, and Reception will be outdoors. We will likely be enjoying a beautiful sunset during dinner (felt like the right move not to blind everyone for the ceremony). There are plenty of covered areas in the event we get some Hawaiian showers on our wedding day.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Aloha Attire! What does this mean? Well, we will be on the west side of the island and will be getting married around 3/4pm (i.e. the warmest part of the day). The only thing we want cooked at our wedding is the catering. Hawaiian shirts, linen pants & suits, sandals, sundresses, maxi or midi dresses, rompers or jumpsuits, etc. are all welcome as long as you look fly. Ladies: Our venue is mostly grass, so you might want to leave your pointiest heels at home and opt for something more comfortable. Consider bringing a swimsuit! We’ll take photos before the ceremony so that we can kick back, hang loose, and enjoy the rest of the evening.

Question

What should we do if we have a song request?

Answer

We are building a wedding day playlist and are planning to have a karaoke station as well! We will happily be accepting song requests except for: Sweet Caroline, Build Me Up Buttercup, Mr. Brightside, Shout, Cotton Eye Joe, Shut Up and Dance, YMCA, Macarena, Electric Slide, Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle, The Wobble, or any song that instructs you how to dance or country. P.S. You will go into the pool if you try to be funny.
