It was Fall of 2020-the heart of the pandemic! While many of us were already stir crazy from being stuck at home, many places started opening back up again and for single people that meant it was time to get on dating apps! The New York dating scene is as chaotic as everyone says, but sometimes you might just get lucky. After a swipe and a few texts, they had their first date at Klongs (for dinner) then Spot (for dessert) in the St. Mark’s neighborhood of the East Village, NYC. The way that these two connected was just too good to be true and so they extended their stay together by making a stop at Union Square Park to continue the night. Although it was fun watching NYU kids turn the park into a pandemic-friendly club with their lights and speakers, the best moment of the night was when Paolo asked Ambar if he could take her mask off so they could have their first kiss. The night had to end eventually, but the feeling from that night continues to this day. Butterflies, connection and an ever growing love and deep respect for one another as they deeply admire each other's passions and successes continues to be a reflection of who they are together.
