We're tying the knot!

We met in New Haven, CT while we were both in grad school at Yale University and looking for love on OkCupid. The algorithm told us we were 95% compatible and we went for it. By the end of our first date, we were already planning our second date, which was a 20 mile round trip bike ride to a local state park, with a hike through the woods. We have gone on some great adventures since then!

Wrapping up the first pandemic year in our new home in Los Angeles, we went on a camping trip in the San Bernardino mountains in Southern California to celebrate Phil's birthday. On the second day, we were enjoying a picnic next to Silverwood Lake with our dog Ollie with lots of cheese and sparkling cider. To Pamela's surprise, Phil finally pulled out a ring! Pamela said yes of course.
