Jess and Brandon went on their first date on September 14, 2017 after being set up by a mutual friend. The date went very well, and before long they were spending all their free time together. Jess was in her final year of Vet School, and Brandon was working in the utility solar industry. In June of 2018 Jess and Brandon took the leap and moved to Washington, NC together for Jess' first professional job out of school and for Brandon to continue his career as a regional lead solar technician. Living in Washington together for three years, and through the Covid pandemic, was a real testament to Jess and Brandon's compatibility and ever-growing love for each other. In June of 2021, Jess and Brandon bought a house together in Boone, NC, furthering their commitment to spending life together. They settled down and started putting down roots in "The High Country" where Jess has advanced her career as a veterinarian and Brandon has pursued his dreams of being self-employed as a licensed electrical contractor. Brandon and Jess got engaged on May 18, 2025. They love to spend time with their family, friends, and animals. They love to hike, travel, listen to music, make art, and relax together. After being together for over 8 years, Jess and Brandon can't wait to get married and move through all of life's challenges and triumphs together.
