Little Traverse Bay Ferry
This is a beautiful option for a sunset cruise in Petoskey on the Harbor Princess. The company also provides ferry transportation between Harbor Springs, Petoskey and Bay Harbor.
Pond Hill Farm Cafe Winery Brewery Market
Pond Hill is a farm to table restaurant, brewery, winery, and market located just two miles away from the wedding venue. Stop by to have a beer, feed the farm animals, play human foosball, or listen to a local band. We are big fans of the pizza here!!
Mackinac Island
Mackinac (pronounced Mackinaw) is a one-of-a-kind island with horse drawn carriages (no cars), fantastic fudge, beautiful walking trails, and stunning views! The island is accessible only by ferry and is located about 35 miles away from the wedding venue. We highly recommend visiting Mackinac for a day trip, renting bikes, and exploring the island! If you have a bit of extra time, you cannot go wrong with a quick night at the Grand Hotel, Mission Point, or one of the stunning B&Bs on the island.
Headlands International Dark Sky Park
The Headlands International Dark Sky Park is absolutely magical! The Headlands is located about two miles west of downtown Mackinaw City in northwest lower Michigan, which makes it a great stop to make on the way back from a day trip to Mackinaw Island.
The Pointer Boat Tour
The Pointer is a tour boat that provides a picturesque tour of Little Traverse Bay. It departs from the Pier Restaurant, which is located on the waterfront in downtown Harbor Springs. After the tour, we recommend grabbing some great lakes fish at the Pier or Hummer cocktail at the Pointer Room (the bar connected to the Pier).
Petoskey State Park
Petoskey State Park is one of our favorite beaches! We recommend pairing the beach with a few sandwiches from Gurneys Bottle Shop (a local favorite sandwich shop located in downtown Harbor Springs).
Tunnel of Trees
The Tunnel of Trees is a 20 mile drive running along the lakeshore beginning in Harbor Springs, MI and ending in Cross Village, MI. This stunning route includes a variety of fun stops along the way, including the quaint town of Good Hart and the Legs Inn restaurant (Jake's favorite restaurant in northern Michigan).
