Wedding Party

Nate McDermott

Man of Honor

Nate's early relationship with Paige mainly consisted of her dressing him up in tutus and leotards (partially) against his will. Now whether spending time together at tailgates during their time at UVA or accidentally crossing rivers after losing the trail in Wyoming, things have undoubtedly improved, at least from his point of view. Today, Nate works in Atlanta managing data for a healthcare company so he is excited to be able to catch a break from the southern heat by celebrating Paige and Will in Maine.

Ryan Cadigan

Best Man

Ryan is the oldest and wisest of the Cadigan siblings. He still remembers seeing a little head of red hair in the hospital bassinet. That day Ryan was blessed with both a baby brother and a best friend.

Zeke McDermott

Man of Honor

Zeke is currently a sophomore, majoring in religious studies at the University of Virginia. He looks forward to celebrating Paige and Will’s marriage with family, old friends and new ones alike. However, he is still grappling with how to reveal the true nature of the self in just five sentences for this website.

Meg Cadigan

Groomswoman

As the youngest Cadigan sibling Meg enjoyed her role growing up being the “Pink Ranger” and is best known for quoting lines from The Office and eating Cherry Garcia ice cream with her Dad (it’s their thing). Meg and Paige bonded immediately over trips to Charleston, where Will and Paige were mistaken for Meg’s parents at a party, sampling fitness classes together in DC and sharing beers at McDermotts in Doolin. The love continues to grow, and Meg is thrilled to ~officially~ be gaining a new sister.

Ashley Koos

Maid of Honor

Paige and Ashley’s friendship started with a pair of lemon yellow shorts and first year calculus at UVA. Today, Ashley allegedly spends her time “studying to be a lawyer,” but no one actually believes that’s possible when the library has a view of the Pacific Ocean. While they’ve spent the last 4 years in different parts of the country, flying thousands of miles to watch Gilmore Girls or to be Paige’s and Will’s third wheel on vacations to Costa Rica has kept this long distance friendship strong.

McCulloch Cline

Groomsman

McCulloch was Will’s first and only friend at UVa. The first time McCulloch met Will, he thought he was loud. He still thinks that. He lives in DC and forgives Paige for stealing his roommate. McCulloch spends his days rewatching 30 Rock and in his spare time works as a consultant for the life sciences industry.

Maddie Swartzwelder

Maid of Honor

Maddie is the world’s greatest nurse, if you ask Will. In reality, she’s terrified of blood and spends her days trying to make corporate America more diverse and inclusive. No one quite remembers how Paige and Maddie’s friendship began, but everyone agrees it’s greatest accomplishment is watching all nine seasons of How I Met Your Mother in half a semester. While their post-college friendship includes fewer tutus and less glitter, they’ve continued to find a way to live within 1000 feet of each other so a girls night is never far away.

Mike McGovern

Groomsman

Will and Mike’s friendship started 15 years ago while working a morning shift at the Goose Rocks Beach General Store. Stuffing newspapers and listening to Coldplay at seven in the morning started their friendship, and “Techno Delis” cemented it forever. Unfortunately their careers in deli studies had to end, but eventually both found themselves in Washington, DC - first living together, then within two blocks of each other. It’s uncertain where their paths will take them, but one thing is for certain - Goose Rocks will always be the place to come back to, for generations to come

Faith Lyons

Bridesmaid

Faith and Paige’s friendship is built on Biltmore cookie dough pie, homemade Dirty Shirleys, Jumbo Slice, and a plethora of other intensely caloric experiences, despite a mutual academic focus on confronting global malnutrition. She was Faith’s sorority “big,” a shoulder to cry and laugh on, and a never-ending source of fashion inspiration. Paige is the sister that Faith never had, with the minor exception of her other two wonderful sisters. But Paige is family in the truest sense, and despite Faith’s scratched cornea during college, she has always been able to see that.

John Burns

Groomsman

Where there’s a Will, there’s a John. Or that was true, at least, during a college trip to East Africa where their friendship truly blossomed, thanks to a misguided assignment that the two guys over 6’ tall should share a tent meant for one. What happens in small, African tents stays in small, African tents, but the friendship made its way back across the Atlantic to Washington, DC, where they both now live. In his spare time, John enjoys buying the same dress shirts as Will, critiquing HGTV shows with Paige, and making soup in his soup pot that’s stored in Will and Paige’s kitchen. For anyone willing to listen, John also has a thrilling tale involving Will, a ~200’ waterfall, a very large rock, and an acute awareness of gravity.

Jaime Lunny

Bridesmaid

Paige and Jaime are known as the “twinterns” around the halls of the Deloitte office. While both of their careers may have taken them elsewhere now, their legacy as the interns who were always together lives on. That fateful summer of learning the art of PowerPoint and the art of happy hour was so fun that Paige and Jaime decided to carry on the party to their first adult apartment together. While they’ve both successfully graduated to above ground homes now, 3011 will always be remembered for strong sangria, bad TV, and getting cat-called after work. In her freetime, Jaime stays busy sampling the latest pasties at Dog Tag Bakery, trying to convince Paige spin class is a good idea, and planning her own wedding, happening just two weeks before this one! Talk about a good friend.

Will Records

Groomsman

Will R. first met Will C. in Mrs. Zerbinopoulos’s 4th grade class at Sea Road School. “Will squared” as they were known quickly became close friends due to their love of reading, interest in the outdoors, and unique first name. Will R. has dragged Will C. along for “fun” hikes, including a winter slog up Sante Fe Peak, CO and a bushwhack of Mt. Carrigain, NH. They remain friends despite these exploits. Will is a 4th year Ph.D. student in chemical engineering at MIT (if anyone is interested, his thesis title is: “Virus-enabled design of high-performing electrocatalysts”). He is an avid runner, reader, hiker, and skier.

Jalen Ross

Groomsman

Will and Jalen became friends after spending hours traveling around the country pretending to be lawyers on the UVA mock trial team. They both won All American awards (if you were wondering if they were any good) and while those awards indicated an early talent, ironically neither of them ended up in law school. Today, Jalen is getting his MBA at Harvard, the iviest of the ivies (as his hometown newspaper once described it) and was too busy to write this himself!
