Question

What about COVID-19?

Answer

We are taking all possible precautions to prevent any COVID-19 spreading from our wedding. The entire event will take place outdoors. You will be seated according to family groups. Please stay with these family groups throughout the reception. Give others plenty of space or wear a mask if you'd like to socialize with others. You'll need to wear a mask when getting food or drinks as well as sanitize your hands. Our catering staff will be serving the food from the buffet line. Please be extra cautious and don't make having a wedding this year harder than it has been by infecting a fellow wedding guest!

Question

Where is the Wedding?

Answer

Our entire wedding will now take place at the Haglund float houses located directly under the Hwy 30 bridge over the John Day River just outside of Astoria. If coming from Portland on Highway 30 it is before Astoria; if coming from Seaside down highway 30 it is after you pass through town.

Question

How do we get there?

Answer

The house is located off highway 30, directly under the bridge over the John Day River. There is limited parking at the float houses so overflow parking will be in a field. Please carpool and consider bringing an SUV or truck if you have one.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

There is no specific dress code, whatever you are comfortable in is fine with us. Professional photos will be taken throughout so keep that in mind. Everything is taking place on a deck-- spiked heels can fall through cracks so be careful with your footwear choice! You may also have a five minute walk through a field or down a gravel road depending on where you have to park.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Absolutely! We wouldn't have it any other way. Please be mindful of them at the float house. The house and decks all float on the river and there is a slight current-- if anyone falls off they could end up under the house if they are not a strong swimmer. The Haglunds have many sizes of life jackets available too!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

If you are coming to the ceremony please arrive at the Float Houses between 4:00 and 4:15 to get parked and get down to the deck--the closer to 4:00 the better! The ceremony will start at 4:30 p.m.--if you are late you'll have to watch from land! The cocktail hour, dinner and dancing will all take place at the same location.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We do not expect gifts but we have been asked to provide ideas of what we can use so please see the registry tab on this website or our Amazon registry at https://www.amazon.com/wedding/share/onemoorehaglund
