Omid and Marcus have been friends since the college days back in Texas, meeting in a campus ministry. They were roommates in 2 different houses for a span of about 5 years and could write books on all the things that happened. Marcus has always been a reflective and disciplined guy; he is the only person Omid knows that at one point worked out so many times in a week he got sick! He knows his stats and history and could always bring the heat in a sports debate. Marcus is a quiet, serious guy to those who don't know him and a really genuine but also hilarious guy to those who do! What Omid remembers most is how they grew as men while living together, living, learning, and hashing through the challenges of life! Marcus and his wife Tiara's marriage is an encouragement!
Lizbeth Fanfan

Lizbeth and Claudia have been friends since middle school but it wasn't until one day in high school that the two became instant best friends, bonding over a shared love for the KFC Snacker while walking home from the bus stop. After that we were inseparable, always hanging out after school and on weekends. Even though Claudia and Liz haven't lived in the same city in nearly 10 years, the bond they share couldn’t be stronger and everyone knows Claudia's sassy/fierce best friend, Liz. The friendship has survived Lizbeth accidentally tweezing off all of Claudia's eyebrows and Claudia "borrowing" Lizbeth's favorite jean jacket for the last 5 years. Lizbeth is a loving wife, amazing mama to Azai, and one of the best friends a girl could have.
Widline Fontaine

Widline is Claudia's big sister and, because we're so Haitian, her godmother too. As the eldest of 3, Widline has been taking care of Claudia basically since she came out the womb. Widline was Claudia's first hairstylist, chauffeur, and makeup artist. Widline even saved our whole family by extinguishing a small house fire Claudia accidentally started in their childhood home. No matter what time of day Claudia calls, Widline is always there to talk or listen. Claudia admires Widline's sacrificial love for Juju and is grateful for the great example of motherhood she is.
Ludy Joseph

Claudia is Ludy's only little sister so Claudia has always had a special place in Ludy's heart. Ludy is the type of person who would knock down any obstacle to care for the ones she love. Since we were young, Ludy has always been there. Claudia remembers Ludy waking up early to cook Claudia breakfast on FCAT (standardized-test) days, teaching Claudia to wrap her hair when she still had a perm, and "letting" Claudia do her homework so she could grow up to be big and smart. Ludy is a great big sis and Claudia is blessed to have such an awesome example of a godly wife in her.
Marcus Hollinger

Being new to Atlanta, Omid met Marcus through a group of Cornerstone church members that were going to see Get Out. He remembered Marcus's hilarious outbursts in the theater and thought this is an interesting guy who's genuinely being himself. They ended up grabbing dinner after the movie and talking for 3+ hours about everything. Outside of the friends he had from Texas, Marcus was the first new friend Omid made in Atlanta. From there the relationship grew and Marcus has always been there at crucial times to offer guidance, wisdom, and support. When Omid and Claudia's relationship progressed, Marcus and his wife, Ansara, were eager to double date and know us as a couple. He is a genuine guy who is humble, loves the Lord earnestly, and loves people authentically!
Ericka Francois

Ericka and Claudia have been friends since middle school. Ericka is one of the kindest people you'll ever meet. She's there whenever you need her and introducing Claudia to Black Bean Deli in Orlando is probably one of the sweetest gifts Ericka's ever given her. Ericka is also one of the wittiest people you'll ever meet (we think she secretly works side gigs for TheShadeRoom.) Claudia has searched the world looking for someone more extra than Ericka but hasn't found anyone yet. Through the years, Ericka and Claudia have challenged one another and grown together. From birthdays to graduations, the two have celebrated so many occasions together and Claudia is excited to have her there to celebrate this momentous occasion.
Rastin Jarrah-Layegh

Rastin is Omid's step-brother so a lot of life has been shared here. It started off bumpy as Omid didn't take well to the initial shock of having a new step-mom and bro. One time Omid foolishly cut one of Rastin's belts and hid it from him. When Rastin found it, he was so upset. While it started off awkwardly, they grew as brothers and Omid remembers feeling cool riding around in big bro's new car instead of having the parents drive him places or taking the bus. Rastin also had the most epic movie collection; we'd rent movies from "Rastybuster" and had many good family movie nights. Big bro bailed Omid out of making some dumb decisions growing up as well! Omid and Rastin have shared so many laughs and good memories together!
Saretta Fuchs

Saretta is Omid's older sister. With the age gap she could drive when he was still pretty young so he enjoyed getting to shoot around town with big sis. She's always cared for her little bro like a second mom. They had many good bro and sister fights growing up but nowadays it's all love. Omid and Saretta are both extreme Dallas Cowboys fans and are very slowly turning me to the dark side. Food is both of our love language and whenever Omid and Claudia are in TX, Saretta always takes us to the best places to eat (Hutchins’ moist brisket truly changed Claudia’s life.) After Omid popped the question, Saretta was so excited and supportive of us and even let me try on her wedding dress and veil. Saretta has been a great big sis to Omid and Claudia is excited to have another sister!
Domonic King

Although Dom and Omid weren't roommates for very long, their relationship grew quickly. You will notice Dom's chill Cali vibes right when you meet him but he's also a high motor guy when he's working out or getting things done. Dom is a passionate audiophile; this guy can geek out over some music, especially funk! Dom and Omid usually met up to hang out in the living room after work and always had rich convos. Omid has always been encouraged by Dom's leadership, how he's eager to listen and seeks to uplift other men. They were roommates during the early stages of Claudia and Omid's relationship and Dom was there to listen and help Omid process through different phases as their relationship grew. Him and his wife Nye are newly married as of September.
Ayanna Byers

Ayanna and Claudia met in grad school and quickly bonded over a desire to leave northwest Ohio lol. In grad school, both of their assistantships were in the same building working with marginalized student groups so the two found that they actually had a lot in common. Claudia appreciates their talks about the amazingness of Haitian food, social justice, and interracial dating. After leaving Ohio, Ayanna got a job in California and the friendship became solidified after a 3-day-road trip across the country to get her there. Claudia is glad to have connected with Ayanna through everything that was going on in grad school (and 2016) and is grateful for annual trips to visit one another even though Atlanta's humidity makes Ayanna feel "oppressed."
Tim Simpson

Tim was Omid's roommate for about a year. He's a laid back guy, always smiling, and not afraid to tell you about his proud roots in LaGrange, GA! One day he hopes to become a pastor and Omid thinks he would be a great one. It doesn't take long to see this is a godly man that is intentional about pursuing relationships with people. Through the pandemic he has lead initiatives to help feed our neighbors and also spent a lot of time mentoring young men. Tim was a patient, listening ear when Omid faced some challenging moments; he could always give good advice and most importantly point him back to Jesus! Through these vulnerable conversations their friendship grew. Omid was also able to play a part in Tim meeting his wife Amber and was encouraged to see their relationship grow firsthand.
Rehema Armorer

Rehema is a dear friend to both Claudia and Omid. We both met Rehema separately at Cornerstone and its been great growing together in mutual friendship. Rehema is sugar, Caribbean spice, and everything nice, which really helps balance out all of Claudia's shadiness. Rehema's love for the Lord and others is always an inspiration. We are grateful for Rehema always being the ultimate hype woman, sharing wisdom with grace, and not judging us for always being at Chick-fil-A when we call her.
Saida Leroy

Saida and Claudia met at the University of Florida (Go Gators) through mutual friends who thought we'd connect over theology, our Haitian roots, and being from Miami. Needless to say they were right. Claudia will always affectionately remember Saida as the only Leroy sister who actually wanted to meet her. On top of that, Saida knows the best hangouts, is really funny, and always on top of the latest trends. From rooftop parties in Miami to hitting the windy streets of Chicago, Claudia and Saida have had some of the best adventures. Claudia is grateful that Saida will be by her side for this new adventure in life.
Nora Miller

Nora and Claudia had an unexpected friendship (fun fact: Nora actually didn't want to meet her.) Back in the days of the creamy crack, Nora offered to put a perm for Claudia. It was then that Nora realized Claudia was actually pretty cool and invited Claudia to spend the weekend at her and Saida's apartment if she ever wanted to get off campus. Before long, Claudia was there almost every weekend. Flash forward to now, not much has changed. Nora and Claudia are both living in metro Atlanta and if you're ever looking for Claudia Friday-Sunday you can catch her at her weekend house aka The Miller Home. Nora is selfless, dedicated, and is never scared to tell you the truth. Nora and hubby have been an important part of Claudia and Omid's relationship and we both appreciate them lots.

In his 4 years, Juju has had many roles, including "Spider-Man," "a hard-core gamer," and "Tatie Claudia's husband." We had to break it to him that not only would it be weird to marry his auntie, but that Tatie Claudia was already taken. But it’s all good because now he loves, “Oumid!” He is so full of joy and energy. He's not just a cute kid, he's a cool kid, too. p.s. he wants everyone to know that his gamer name is BigAstro
Marco Miller

The one time Claudia got evicted was when the Miller guest room aka Claudia’s room was turned into Marco’s nursery. The good thing is that there’s plenty of room in the house and Claudia's heart for this sweet boy. Marco also loves Omid and gets so excited whenever Omid comes to visit Claudia at her weekend house. Marco loves helping his mommy water the garden and jamming out to Cocomelon. Nora is currently pregnant with Baby Miller #2 and Marco is going to be a great big brother to his little sister.
Laila Fuchs

Laila is Omid's eldest niece and the best big sis to Avery. When they were younger, Omid loved how Laila used to wake up early, climb into her sisters crib and read her books as she was waking up. She's very bright and recently got into the talented and gifted program at her school. She's also active and keeps moms hands full; some of the things she likes are arts and crafts, dance, and all things Trolls. She's always excited when her uncle comes back to Texas for a visit and usually has something new she's made to give him!
Avery Fuchs

Avery is Omid's youngest niece and Laila's favorite little sister. She is full of energy and a little daredevil; she's basically not afraid to try any new activity and if she gets hurt she'll cry it out but it doesn't deter her from her next adventure. She keeps mom and dad's hands full around the clock! She was born just a few months after Omid moved to Atlanta. He flew back to Texas when she was born, and each time he comes back she seems to be growing up so fast! She's always eager to jump on uncle's back when he comes to visit.
