Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, formal attire. A tuxedo isn't required, but the event is still formal enough for one to be appropriate. The choices for women can be a floor-length dress, a cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit. Men have the option of wearing a tuxedo, or they can wear a formal suit, shirt, and tie.

Sí, atuendo formal. No se requiere un esmoquin, pero el evento sigue siendo formal por lo tanto de vestir apropiadamente. While we wish we can invite everyone we want to, our venue and budget has a strict guest limit. Therefore we cannot accommodate to additional guests. We really appreciate your understanding.

Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors. We are praying for a beautiful sunny day. :) Our reception will in indoors.

What will the weather be like in Medellin?

Answer

In June, temperatures can reach 83°F (28.5°C), with sunny days that may turn to a quick drizzle in the afternoon. Nights can reach temperatures around 63°F (16°C) and can get chilly. With that being said, we advise packing a variety of clothes like shorts, jean pants, and a sweater during your stay.

En junio, las temperaturas pueden alcanzar los 28.5 °C (83 °F), con días soleados que pueden convertirse en una llovizna rápida por la tarde. Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Transportation to and from our wedding venue will only be provided to those staying at Novotel Medellin El Tesoro. For those staying at Novotel please contact Olivia or Santiago so we can make accommodations for you.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We recommend staying at Novotel El Tesoro. The hotel has a pool, spacious rooms, bar and restaurant with breakfast, and a spa. It is also centrally located next to a shopping mall with lots of shops and entertainment.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

On Thursday June 20, 2024 we will be taking our guests on a day trip to El Peñol/Guatapé. Please RSVP to this event on our website no later than February 22 2024. Our meeting location will be at Novotel Medellin El Tesoro. We will be providing transportation for all our guests who would like to attend. We only ask our guest to bring 20,000 COP (about $5.50 USD) for the entrance fee of El Peñol and extra COP for lunch and to by souvenirs when shopping around Guatapé.
