Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We have been telling everyone to wear business casual, and prep for the heat. June gets very hot in Colorado. We will only be outside for a short while, but we want everyone to be comfortable and not worried about getting excessively dressed up, so please arrive looking nice, but not overly dressed up :)

How long is the ceremony?

Answer

Please see "The Day Of" tab for a event by event timeline. The goal is to keep the entire ceremony under half and hour, before moving everyone back inside! We don't want you all to be stuck out in the heat too long :)

What kind of formalities will there be?

Answer

Neither of us are very formal, and we only have a few formal activities we will be doing. We will have a short ceremony, then the wedding party will take photos while everyone gets comfortable inside. When we come back inside, we may have a couple toasts and quick parent and bride/groom dances (not necessarily in that order), and that should mostly be it. We will make announcements if anything gets added during the day

Is the altitude really that bad?

Answer

Please drink LOTS of WATER! If you are not used to altitude, it is easy to get what is called "altitude sickness". It can be very unpleasant, so please please take it seriously. Drink lots of water, if you decide to smoke anything it will hit you harder than at sea level, and please be careful while drinking. The altitude thins your blood which means you will get drunk much quicker and harder. We want everyone to have a great time, and staying smart and pacing yourself is the way to do it!

Will there be a bar?

Answer

Absolutely. Open bar. Again, PLEASE pace yourself while drinking. We know how easy it is to go wild on an open bar, but the altitude WILL sneak up and get you. Pace yourself and you will be fine and still get a buzz!

What about a mask?

Answer

Currently, the State of Colorado is requiring people at public events to wear masks. We don't want anyone to be uncomfortable, so please don't hate on anyone that chooses to keep their mask on the entire time. Be respectful of others space and desires. As long as everything continues to trend towards a healthier and safer world, we will plan the need for masks accordingly as conditions change.
