CTA Information from O'Hare

If you want to save money and beat traffic, the Blue Line from O'Hare is a great option to get to downtown. Once you get off the plane, follow the signs to the baggage claim level and take the stairs or escalators down below baggage claim and continue to follow the signs to the CTA to the City of Chicago. If you are staying near Magnificent Mile, transfer at Clark and Lake to the Red Line. The Red Line is a short walk away at Lake Street. Take the Red Line to the Chicago or Grand stops, depending which hotel you chose.

If you want to save money and beat traffic, the Orange Line from Midway is a great option to get to downtown. Once you get off the plane, follow the signs to the CTA to the City of Chicago. If you are staying near Magnificent Mile, transfer at Roosevelt to the Red Line and take the Red Line to the Chicago or Grand stops, depending which hotel you chose.

Uber/Lyft/Taxi

Ubers, Lyfts or Taxis are of course completely acceptable and safe to take from the airports into the city but can be pricier depending on time of day and may take some time depending on traffic. Make sure you check Google Maps for updated traffic timing once you land!
