We’re tying the knot under the Tuscan sun, because after much reflection (and Continental venue searches!) our hearts kept returning to Italy when recalling our favorite place. Maybe it was all the gelato (or wine instead of water!) consumed during those months we spent in Florence while “studying” abroad! Whatever it was, the golden light, rolling hills and vineyards of Tuscany are calling us to share “I dos” amidst them as we begin our “official” next life chapter! But the celebration doesn’t end in Tuscany… You have all been an important part of our story - your love, support and friendship mean the world to us - and while we’d love to have you with us, we know that travel to Italy is a BIG “ask” and may not be possible for everyone. We completely understand and know you will be with us “in spirit” if an international trip is NOT in your plans for 2026! Our “Backyard Edition” (family friendly-kiddos WELCOME!) will take place stateside in Long Grove, IL at the Carlson’s….on their rolling green lawn with pond views! We will have returned as “Mr. & Mrs. O’Keefe” and would love for you to join us to share in our newlywed celebration! We’ll bring back the spirit of Italy with good food, wine and of course Katie’s favorite - “Spritz time”! *Invitation to follow formal wedding invitations*

Our story begins back in fall semester of 2016 at Indiana University — our freshman year. I was a busy pledge, and she was out enjoying campus life and parties. Fate (and maybe a little luck) crossed our paths one night when I offered to walk her home all the way across campus from Foster to Briscoe. What was supposed to be a quick walk turned into an all-night conversation about her favorite music, her family, and everything in between. After a whole about 45 minutes of sleep, I missed all my classes the next day but I wouldn't have changed that for the world. I couldn't imagine missing out on a single word the most beautiful girl I've ever met had to say. Then, Katie proceeded to ignore my existence for the next 12 months. But as fate would have it, sophomore year rolled around, and with a little convincing from our good friends (s/o Ali and Kevin) she finally decided to give the kid a shot. Since then, we’ve traveled the world together, shared countless memories living together, and built a life full of love, adventure, and endless fun. She’s truly my best friend & I'm so excited to spend forever with her!
