As a Guest, what am I financially responsible for?

Answer

In lieu of gifts, the Bride and Groom are asking that Guests are financially responsible for travel to/from the Miami port, Stateroom fees (if cruising), gratuities, room service, additional packages (wifi, drinks), and any excursions.

What impact does the current pandemic have on our trip? PART 1

Answer

PART 1 On Sept 10, 2020 Royal Caribbean issued a report recommendation of best practices cruising safely in the future. You can find the report and Royal Caribbean's most current travel and health policy here: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/itinerary-updates But in short here's the recommended changes that will have the most impact on our experience: All individuals should: - be tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 2 days before boarding* - should wear masks when unvaccinated* - maintain a social distance from other guests/crew when possible (except within groups that are traveling together)* *updated Feb 28, 2022

Answer

PART 2 - excursions are required to go ashore when traveling with unvaccinated children except at Labadee, Perfect Day and Port Canaveral stops.* - there will be a reduction in the number of guests/crew onboard and an increase in the number of medical staff - increased cleaning protocols, increase in available hand sanitizers, increased air-changes aboard the ship and upgrades in HVAC filters - increased isolation rooms and treatment beds for persons infected or in close contact with infected persons, contact tracing, etc., *updated Feb 28, 2022

The price of your stateroom includes: Ship accommodations, Ocean transportation, Most meals onboard, Some beverages onboard, Most entertainment onboard, The following services are not included in the cruise price: Dining in Specialty Restaurants such as Chops Grille, 150 Central Park, and Izumi, Dining in Johnny Rockets, Spa and Salon services, Gambling (Including Bingo), Art Auction, Any purchases made in the gift shops onboard, Shore excursions, Photographs, Video Arcade, Medical Services (unless COVID-19 related)* Internet Access, Transfers (Unless guest has purchased our air/sea package), Laundry and Dry Cleaning Services, Ship to Shore Telephone calls, Gratuities, Alcoholic Beverages, Non-Alcoholic Beverages (excluding water, lemonade and iced tea), Starbucks *updated Feb 28, 2022

What is Royal Caribbean Travel Protection Program?

Answer

With the Royal Caribbean Travel Protection Program Cancellation Penalty Waiver, you can cancel your cruise vacation (for specified reasons), Royal Caribbean will waive the non-refundable cancellation provision of your cruise ticket contract and pay you IN CASH the value of the unused portion of your prepaid cruise vacation. In addition, should you need to cancel for "any other reason" you may be eligible for credit toward a future cruise - up to 75% of the non-refundable, prepaid cruise vacation cost. How will we communicate/coordinate with each other while aboard the ship?

Answer

Royal Caribbean has a free app that uses their wifi (no wifi package needed) that allows you to chat with other guests, check-in, look at the schedule of events, see your itinerary, book activities/excursions and more! See here for more details/to download: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/booked/royal-app *update March 7, 2022 the app is free but the chat feature is $1.99/day. The chat feature does not notify you of any messages, you must open the app and check the conversation. And guests under the age of 13 are not permitted to use this feature.
